EXAMPLE OF STONE WOOL PLANT
A complete stone wool production line consists in several machi-nes that process the material, from melting to packaging. The “hot” part is located at the beginning of the line where the machine melts the basalt stone and transforms it into fibre. The polymerisation and material processing stages follow, where the product takes on its final shape (panels, mattresses or felt). The packaging system is located at the end of the line and consists in machines that package the product and prepare it for warehou-sing or shipment. For “special” products such as pipe section or lamellar products, Gamma Meccanica supplies special systems or “additional lines”. Product specifications (formula, measures and density) vary ac-cording to the customer’s requirements.

We dedicate extra care and attention to the development of control and supervising sy-stems. Thanks to industrial PCs, the staff in charge of the systems have total control and are able to manage every pro-duction stage. Furthermore, the use of a supervision system means that machine parame-ters can be managed in a se-parate room, far from the noise and hot temperatures of the production line.
On demand, the standard line can be improved with machines integrated systems for the handling, working, stacking and multi-packaging for panels and for rolls.
