Where are you doing it? Draw a diagram and write a simple explanatio n of your idea A photo tells us you have completed the project – so don’t send to us. Almost projects carry some risk List those you can think of Tell us how you will avoid risk of injury, fire, hazard to young people, etc., in the making and or the use of your technology. Consider need for First Aider to be present when making and testing, where necessary Making food is covered in the science approval process , not here Don’t start without approval from your teacher Guns, explosives, 240V power systems (unless transformed to low volts); use of motor vehicles Don’t ask – it will be not be approved If using chemicals they must be safe and you will need to show us the Hazard Safety sheets relating to every chemical you intend to use Get your teacher to give you a form; complete the application then ask the teacher to submit to the Approvals Committee . If you ask someone questions about your technology you will also complete a Survey form, if ask them to try your technology you will also complete an Activity form
