Transformational Technologies Considered
for the Future

On April 12, 2017 Frankie Jackson met with the
Eric Murrell, Huawei’s Vice President at Huawei
Enterprise for eLTE. As a means to bring
“constant connectivity” to students outside of
school, Internet access is required in the homes.

connectivity. Huawei is proposing a pilot. Once
received, the proposal will be taken to executive
management for review.
• Wireless is preferred

Campus Visit to Watkins Middle School
On April 13, 2017, Frankie
Jackson visited Watkins middle
school. Brenda Watkins, the
campus technician, showed her
the difficulties of working in a
state of transition during building
renovations.
Brenda has done a great job at
trying to maintain technology
inventories. Her main concern is
that there is not enough room to
store outdated equipment or
equipment that is not being used.
Frankie took an action to discuss

Education
“Success is a series of small wins.” It’s the small
wins and the small differences that often make
the biggest impact. Sometimes we focus more on
the “big wins” that we accomplish when it’s really
the small achievements that creates our amazing success.
Examples include the Instructional Technology department
recognizing the hard work of Samara in ordering technology,
David Glennon working to upgrade phones to VoIP at Willbern,
Anthony upgrading Transportation to Windows 10, Oscar,
Greg, and Andrew solving content filtering issues… along with
many other examples. I appreciate everyone’s focused
attention on the small things! Frankie Jackson
