Project Summary

This lesson is intended to expand upon students' basic speaking and research skills. Students are expanding their knowledge of Earth Science (Planets) after classroom discussion utilizing the Science Textbook and LACOE Pacing Plan. First, students research planet of personal interest. During class sessions, students use multiple online news sources to research up-to-date information that helps them form and communicate their opinions / facts about their planet; practice working with podcasting tools; and create and share a 3 – 4 1/2-minute narrative podcast in class.
