The place that displays the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) or address of a web page.Address Bar An internet browser is the program used to access the internet and view web pages on a computer.

Browser

CPUA CPU or Central Processing Unit Is the brains of the computer.

Desktop

The Desktop is the main computer screen that shows icons that stand for files and folders.

E-mail

A system for sending Electronic Mail messages from one computer to another.

A small portable storage device that plugs into a computer USB port to transfer information from one computer to another.

Google

A widely used search engine to find web pages with information about a particular subject.

Hard Drive

Computer hardware inside a computers CPU that holds information on a magnetic disk.

Icon

An Icon is a small picture representing a program, file or object saved on the hard drive.

JPEG

JPEG is a standard format for compressing and storing pictures on the hard drive. JPEG is an abbreviation for `Joint Photographic Experts Group'

Keyboard

The keyboard is used to type letters, numbers and symbols as well as a variety of functions.

Laptop

A laptop computer is a smaller, lighter, portable version of a desktop computer, that can be used almost anywhere.

Monitor/Mouse

A mouse is a hand-operated device that controls the position of the cursor on the computer screen as you move it.

A computer network is several computers linked together to communicate and share information.

Being online means having an open line of communication by being connected to a computer or the internet.

A printer is connected to a computer and able to receive and print text or pictures on paper.

You Tube You Tube is a video sharing website where people can upload their videos and view other peoples videos.

Zip file A Zip file is a computer file containing data that has been compressed to reduce the size of the file.
