Technology Fast 50 Program
Criteria - How to participate?Companies can nominate themselves or be nominated bya third party, and must submit a completed nominationform and required attachments. To be eligible for theTechnology Fast 50, a company must meet the followingcriteria:
Be a technology company defined as follows:Owning proprietary technology that contributes to asignificant portion of the company’s revenues.Devoting a significant proportion of effort to researchand development of technology.
Revenues for 1999 must be at least USD 50,000.Be in business a minimum of five years.Be headquartered within Israel.
Cautious OptimismThe global technology sector has seen a market improvementover the past 12 months. During this period investmentlevels have risen, a number of IPOs have taken place andcompany revenues have increased. Companies on this year'slist have shown continued growth and stability after sometough years. Despite all of the above, the technology sectoris still vulnerable to external changes, such as interest rates,political upheaval both local and abroad, terrorism etc. Inorder to continue their success and growth over the nextyear, companies should continue to be driven by experiencedmanagers, focused business strategies, focus on technologiesthat provide real value, returns and viable markets andconsider M&A possibilities.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA program ranksthe 500 public and private technology, media andtelcommunications (TMT) companies based in Europe, theMiddle East and Africa (EMEA) that have achieved the fastestrates of annual revenue growth during the past five years.
The winners will be announced at an event which will beheld in London on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2004.

And the Winners Are...The 2004 Technology Fast 50 companies have shownrevenue growth rates with an average of 1,049% comparedto the 2003 Fast 50 companies that showed an averageof 559%. The top 10 companies grew an average of4,219% compared to the top 10 companies last year thataveraged a growth percentage of 2,163%. Revenues forthe 2004 program's top company; the Internet CompanyShopping.com grew 12,669% between 1999 and the year2003.
Private companies make up 46% of the 2004 Fast 50 list.38% of the companies on the list are in the softwareindustry compared to 44% on the 2003 Fast 50 list. Onthe other hand, an increase in the number of companiesin the Communications industry can be seen on this year'slist (18% on the 2004 Fast 50 list compared to 12% onthe 2003 Fast 50 list).
The Life Science and Biotech companies show the highestaverage growth percentage among all of the sectors with1,548% followed by a 972% growth in the softwareindustry and 833% in the Communications sector.

In the 2004 Fast 50 list, as in the 2003 Fast 50 list, thedominant technology geographical region continues to beTel Aviv and Center of the country area with 44% of thecompanies residing in this area. An increase can be seen inthe number of companies from the Sharon with 32%residing in that area compared to 26% on the 2003 Fast50 list.
