and Repara on
On behalf of the Australian Ins tute of Profes-sional Inves gators, I have great pleasure in extending to you an invita on to a end our Na onal Conference to be held at the Wood-ward Conference Centre, University of Mel-bourne Law School on Thursday 7 September 2017.
The conference theme for 2017 is Technology Enabled Financial Crime covering aspects of: preven on, detec on, inves ga on, prosecu-on and repara on.
The AIPI se led on this theme following the recent spate of cyber-a acks globally and the increasing use of technology to perpetrate crime on Australian organisa ons of all sizes across all sectors.
A topic of special interest is how to deal with ransomware and other malware a acks on business, how business can mi gate its risk of such an a ack and how it could and should respond if an a ack does occur. Our speakers will include true industry experts on tech-nology enabled financial crime detec on and preven on who will share their knowledge and experience with delegates. A feature of this year’s conference will be the presenta-on of a number of ‘mini panels’ throughout the day designed to encourage maximum
audience interac on with our expert presenters.
We will host a networking session immediately following the conference to enable you to connect with your fellow professional inves gators, presenters and exhibitors.
We see this conference as an opportunity for inves gators to be at the cu ng edge of techniques to combat technology enabled financial crime.
I hope to see you there.
