Receiving: There is only a very small danger of accidental deletion. 2. Disadvantages Instructor may need to reset assignment settings to accept late papers. enter instructions, set a maximum grade, and specify when the assignment will be available to students.

Assignment Settings Screen Students who click on an assignment will see an assignment screen with instructions, due date, and maximum grade for the assignment. Through this screen students can view any attached file associated with the assignment and submit their papers when they have completed the assignment.

The instructor can view student submissions by clicking on Submissions next to a particular assignment on the Assignment List Screen in "Designer View." The Submissions screen clearly indicates when the student submitted the file.

Assignment Submissions Screen Clicking on Not Graded in the Status column of a particular student brings up the Grade Assignment Screen, from which the instructor can view or download the student's file and enter comments and a grade.

III. Submitting student files to Turnitin.com. To login to Turnitin.com, an instructor should ask the department chairman to add him or her to the department's Turnitin.com account. The chairman will issue a password to the instructor. The instructor can then go to www.turnitin,com and login through the login screen.

Login Screen Before an instructor can upload student files for testing, he or she must set up a class and an assignment. To create a class, the instructor should click on Add Class on his or her Individual Class List Screen.

Clicking on the name of a class on the Individual Class List Screen will bring up the Class Screen for that class. From this screen the instructor can create an assignment and submit files for testing under that assignment name. Turnitin will only accept files submitted for an assignment; an instructor cannot submit a file without creating an assignment for it first.

Class Screen Clicking on the Submit button on the Class Screen will call up the Submission Screen, which allows the instructor to submit a student file for testing.

Submissions Screen When the file has been submitted, the instructor receives a digital receipt.
