Director’s MessageWhat a month it has been!

GemLife Bribie Island is coming along in leaps and bounds as construction drives forward in Stage Two. This is a huge achievement and an enormous milestone for the team and residents.

There have been plenty of social activities going on at the resort over the past month which really encapsulates the sense of community at GemLife Bribie Island.

If you haven’t got involved already, get in touch with the Sales Team so that they can bring you into the fold.

Yours sincerely,

Adrian Puljich Director & CEO of GemLife

Sales Manager’s Message

Sales haven’t stopped here at Bribie Island! We are getting buyers from all around Australia and New Zealand, as well as from South Africa. The news is out that GemLife Bribie Island is the place to live!

Stage One is now entirely sold out and Stage Two is well underway with six already sold, and another 21 sites with conditional contracts on them. There are only 72 sites in total, so don’t miss out.

Twelve new display homes will be under construction by the end of May and we will invite you to view them when they are finished. Eleven stock standard homes will also be under construction by the end of May. You can sign a conditional contract on one of these homes which will take it off the market and allow you time to sell your home while we are building your new one. Contact the Sales Team now for information about this offer as these won’t last – we have contracts on five of them already!

We have a new design called the Laguna for Stage Two which is across the road from the bush giving you a fantastic outlook from your living area and front porch. This is a large three bedroom home with a study and large walk-in pantry, double garage. Limited stock is available, so call us now and don’t miss out!

Join us on Saturday 9th June between 9am-12pm to view our current displays and take a walk around Stage Two.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Stage One: SOLD OUT!Stage One of GemLife Bribie Island is sold out – as evidenced by all the colourful dots above! Better get in quick to Stage Two so you don’t miss out on your opportunity to be a part of the GemLife community!

One of the greatest things that we offer at GemLife, is the opportunity to have a day out, without having to travel anywhere! Our state of the art tenpin bowling alley will do just that.

With three lanes, you’ll never have to think about what to do with the grandkids or on for a Saturday evening with friends. Maybe you’d like to get a bowling team together and take it seriously – the choice is yours!

Located upstairs in the five star country club, we have gone to great lengths to provide a quality experience through the use of extensive

insulation (to prevent noise carrying to other areas) and accessibility.

The 240sqm bowling alley looks out over the lake, so even if you’re not winning – you can still enjoy a great sunset view!

If you’d like to learn more about the facilities that we offer, contact our Sales Team on: 1800 193 177.

If you are a local to Bribie Island, you are already aware of the copious adventures available to you in the vicinity.

Recently, the GemLife team and several interested parties took a 4x4 tour of the Island. Notably, the tour visited several WWII historical sites along Woorim Beach which are slowly being taken by the sea – a stark reminder of times gone by. The tour was such a success, that the team will be running another soon – so watch this space!

This month’s happy hour was a barrel of laughs with our soon-to-be residents at The Deck, Pacific Harbour.

A happy hour... or three!

FROM TOP: 1 Beautiful day to explore the lagoons. 2 About to board the G’Day Adventure 4WD. 3 Exploring the World War II bunkers.

Residents of GemLife were invited to an introduction to the club.

The evening started with canapés and drinks, coupled with an address of welcome from the president of the club, Mr. Bob Reilly.

As an existing member of the club, Marshall Cass, saw an opportunity to stay for dinner, which gave all an opportunity to meet and mingle, which garnered a great response. The evening proved beneficial to both the residents and the club.

With the assistance of another member of the club and a GemLifer, Len Dawber, the pair were very busy signing as proposer and seconded on applications to the club. The end result was seven new playing member applications and six social members.

To top off a good night, four meat trays were won! Thanks to the golf club courtesy bus and the GemLife bus, all got home safely.

Congratulations to Bevan and Sally McAleer for celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! We hope you enjoyed your day spent with your neighbours and close friends at GemLife.

Meet Miss Ellie!

TALKING PETS

Hello! My name is Ellie. My stature is small because I’m a pure-bred Maltese, but have always believed I possess the instincts and character of a Rottweiler.

Over my seven years, I’ve lived in a number of homes with my Mum and Dad, Janine and Arvo. However, since moving to GemLife, I’ve realised this this the best life I’ve had. As one of the first dogs into this community, I’ve accepted the ‘senior’ role thrust upon me and have tried to welcome other dogs, but always maintaining my elder status.

I’ve made some wonderful friends since moving here, some of whom are even humans. Sometimes, my carers head off on a holiday and I’m minded by others in the community. Whilst sad at first, I’ve come to quickly learn that I can turn this into my advantage by

pretending to be sad and therefore, get spoilt with treats and cuddles.

My close friend Bailey is just a puppy so I’m training him. He has proved a wonderful companion and playmate. There is also Kobie, who featured in our last newsletter, who often greets me when I visit his street – that is, if he hasn’t disappeared on one of his mystery jaunts. The reception extended to me from the two legged residents has made me so happy and the numerous social events at the various villas has filled my social calendar to the brim.

Please say “hello” if you see me around our community as I would love to welcome you to my life as much as you will welcome me.

ReflectionsWell done to Marshall Cass for winning this month’s photo competition!

This entry is called ‘Reflections’ and truly shows off our gorgeous premium waterfront properties. Thank you Marshall, and well done on your impressive photography skills!!

5 Steps for Great Time Management

GEMIFE TIPS

Learning to manage one’s time effectively is often easier said than done. If you’re a chronic procrastinator and often get distracted, this technique could make all the difference between “I’ll do it tomorrow” and “I’ll do it right now!”

The Pomodoro Technique was developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks.

Mastering the Pomodoro Technique is made easy by following these five steps in the original technique:

1 Decide upon the task to be done.

2 Set the Pomodoro timer (traditionally to 25 minutes).

3 Work on the task, until the timer rings and put a checkmark on a piece of paper.

4 If you have fewer than 4 checkmarks, take a 3-5 minute break.

5 After four pomodoros, take a longer break (15-30 minutes), reset your checkmark count to zero, then go to step 1.

These intervals are named ‘pomodoros’, the plural in English of the Italian word ‘pomodoro’ (tomato), after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer than Cirillo used as a university student.
