Additionally we have extensive experience in the use of DNV PHAST, which can be used if requested by a client. Our personnel are experienced in the use of these and other modelling software packages for Fire and Explosion Analysis for a wide range of facilities. Where deterministic models fall short, we conduct in-house CFD analysis. Additionally, we have a partner company that specializes in that field and can therefore provide even more complex and detailed CFD analysis as an integrated service managed by HSEassist. MAJOR ACCIDENT EVENT ANALYSIS The oil and gas industry works regularly with high pressure and flammable fluids, often using cutting edge technology, in deep water, and hostile operating environ- ments. When things go wrong in such circumstances, the consequences can be catastrophic. Such catastrophic events are referred to as Major Accident Events (MAE). HSEassist specialises in the assessment of Major Accident Events. This includes graphical representation and analysis in Bowtie XP, modelling of conse- quences, and qualitative and quantitative risk analysis. Furthermore, HSEassist takes this service to the next level, and integrate the learnings from major accident event analysis in defining performance requirements (Performance Standards) for safety critical equipment, and collaborating with Clients to improve maintenance routines, with the common goal of improving facility safety and reducing risk.
