5.2 Connection Problems to Mobileye FTP

The Mobileye Setup Wizard Application requires an open FTP connection during installation and after for periodic updates.

Many companies have firewalls, Anti-Virus or Malware software that might be blocking the Mobileye Setup Wizard Application when it attempts to use an outside resource (FTP server).

If the Mobileye Setup Wizard Database Update is unsuccessful or you have problems connecting to the Mobileye FTP please have your company IT department check the following:

1) Check connection to Mobileye FTP –

Mobileye FTP address: ftpclient.mobileye.com:21

Try to run the following command from command line:

telnet ftpclient.mobileye.com 21

you should get the following message:

220 - - Welcome to Mobileye Vision tm. FTP service - -

If you do not get the message above you should first check the FTP ports and allow access to the FTP IP address shown here:

Please ask the system administrator to configure the Firewall as following

For auto update (FTP access):

ftp port: local: any remote: ftpclient.mobileye.com:21

If you do get the message shown above then the FTP protocols or Ports are not blocked and it is most likely that the Mobileye Setup Wizard Application itself is blocked (not allowed to use FTP resource).

1) Try to manually add a firewall exception for the Mobileye Setup Application (.exe), if on your company server or through your serves provider.

Note:

Current IP: 94.188.132.5

Or insert in Browser: Amme1.mobileye.co.il/AM_Web_service/service1.asmx

(web page should look exactly like in the below image.)

If your DPI or Screen Resolution cause different results then the one detailed below adjust your laptop computer DPI or Screen Resolution as instructed in the next sections.

12

Mobileye Vision Technologies www.mobileye.com

15

Mobileye Vision Technologies www.mobileye.com

Failure to update the database could be a result of Internet connection problems, slow internet , Firewall and Anti-virus programs on your computer or company server which are blocking the Database Update or problems with the software (SQL Server not installed correctly, Windows XP is missing SP3, etc…).

Below are screen shots of a proper and successful Database Update and screen shots of an unsuccessful Database Update.
