    Philips MASTER LEDbulb 8-40 W

    integrates leading high power LED light

    source and compact high efciency driver

    into a traditional incandescent A-shape

    form-factor. Not only does it employ hi-

    tech IC solution to ensure the dimming

    system control, it also delivers high quality

    light, all-around the lamp, to ensure direct

    replacement of GLS bulbs in every application

    (meeting the US Energy Star Regulation).

    Unlike the traditional incandescent lamps,

    the MASTER LEDbulb offers 80% energy

    saving and a longer lifetime of 25,000 hours

    (equivalent to 15 years if lit 4 hrs a day).

    This is especially ideal for 24/7 applications

    to ensure minimum maintenance cost and

    maximum energy saving.

    Philips MASTER LEDbulb D 8-40 W lamp has a lifetime of

    25,000 hours, dened as the number of hours before 50%

    of the lamps will fall below 70% of their initial lumens.

    Lifetime estimation is based on the application

    environment condition: at room temperature (25 C),

    free air burning, base down burning position in 10 mm

    free air to simulate an in-luminaire condition and at rated

    voltage.

    General information

    Philips LEDlamps are tested on more than 30 reference dimmers available globally

    MASTER LEDbulb can work well with most of R, RL dimmers (leading edge dimmers), but not RC, RCL dimmers (trailing edge dimmers) nor

    any dimmers with neon/LED light indicator

    Wide dimming range: from 100% down to 10%

    How to dene the number of lamps which can be connected to one dimmer

    We suggest the following generic rule

    The rule Example

    Dimmer = 500 W

    LEDlamp = 8 W

    Step 1 Divide the maximum Wattage

    of the dimmer by 10

    500 W

    10= 50 W

    Step 2 Divide the result of step 1 by the

    Wattage of the LEDlamps

    50

    = 6 pieces, which is the max. number of

    LEDlamps you can connect to one dimmer

    Greater intensity than 40 W GLS at every angle!
