The Kiffmeyer Duals began in 1994 and was named after Tech Wrestling Coach Jim Kiffmeyer. It has become a mini state tournament at Tech in mid January. Every year, state tournament teams and many state ranked wrestlers gather at Tech for this dual meet tournament. The B Squad and Varsity are both showcased on this day. Kevin Kiffmeyer, Jim’s son, usually starts the tournament with his booming voice singing God Bless America and the National Anthem.
