Tech Trends in Restaurant & Retail 2016

Addison Conference Center, 15650 Addison Road

Wednesday March 30, 2016, 11:30am – 4:30pm

REVTECH is producing the 4th annual Tech Trends event for the benefit of North Texas restaurant and

retail executives, as well as others who are interested in product and tech innovation around the themes of

shopping and dining. This event provides us the opportunity to curate potential solutions for the

industry’s most pressing challenges as they adapt to rapid change in the digital age. We’ve listened to

challenges articulated by restaurant and retail decision makers and developed four key themes to address

at this event: customer loyalty, store analytics, staff productivity, and the latest in location-based

marketing.

Agenda: 11:00am Check in & Buffet Luncheon

12:15pm Event Kickoff

12:30pm Keynote Presentation (Hal Brierley)

1:15pm Accelerator Graduate Presenters

2:00pm Networking Break

4:00pm Closing Remarks

4:30pm Reception

Luncheon Keynote: Hal Brierley, Chairman of Brierley Group Ever since being hired by American Airlines in 1980 to design its traveler rewards program, AAdvantage,

Hal Brierley has been at the forefront of innovative consumer loyalty programs. In 1985, he launched

Brierley+Partners, a loyalty program consultancy that was later sold to the Nomura Research Institute in

Tokyo in 2015. In 1999, he launched e-Rewards, now known as Research Now, a firm that collects

consumer data for loyalty programs. In an age where consumers engage online with brands in so many

ways, Brierley sees that loyalty programs must adapt in order to remain relevant.

Accelerator Graduate Presenters Accelerator programs have become prevalent over the past several years. There are at least a dozen just in

Texas. Several around the country are themed on retail tech including ones in Silicon Valley,

Minneapolis, New York, and our very own REVTECH in Dallas. We evaluated the best talent with the

most innovative ideas at accelerators across America this past year and selected the seven you will meet

today for participation in our inaugural accelerator grad program.
