This is a great time to bring a group of students to tour the college, meet with financial aid, housing and representatives and visit our industry- standard labs. If you’d like to schedule a tour on another date or have questions about our College Preview, please contact Autumn Outlaw at 254-867-2026 or [email protected]. To register online for the event, go to www.waco. tstc.edu/preview. Spring Registration Class registration for the spring 2012 semester continues 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Wednesday, Dec. 21. Registration will resume after the holiday break on Monday, Jan. 2. Spring classes begin Monday, Jan. 9. Phyllis Brubaker and Teresa Turpin of Mexia HS were each selected as the Counselors of the Year and Melvin Hall of Red Oak HS was selected as Teacher of the Year at the 6th annual TSTC Counselor/Teacher Luncheon All have been very instrumental for years in helping students transition from high school to college. The latest edition of the TSTC Magazine is now available online and in limited printed quantities. The mission of the TSTC Magazine is to inform valued industry partners, alumni and friends about the accomplishments, partnerships and future plans of the TSTC Waco campus. Starting in the spring the CulinaryArts program will have a new home.The soon-to-be completed 18,000-square-foot facility, located at 8th andCampus Drive, features three kitchens,a spacious new dining room, outdoorpatio dining, as well as office andclassroom space.

The new culinary facility is the latestcampus addition thanks to variousgrants, revenue bonds and a generousone million dollar gift from the Brazos Higher Education Service Corp. It is named in honor long time TSTC-supporter Murray Watson Jr.’s wife, Greta. Also under construction is the Col. James T. Connally Aerospace Center due to be completed in spring 2012.

Girls Gone TechSTEM ConferenceOn Saturday, March 24, girls in grades 6 through 12 can attend a one-day conference focused on nurturing their interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The conference is just $20 and offers four exciting and innovative workshops presented by TSTC faculty.

Some subjects that will be covered include: Computer Science, Graphic Design, Chemistry, Math, Drafting, Welding, Telecommunications, Aircraft Pilot, Electrical Power & Control, and Pharmacy Technician. For more information, contact Sheryl Kattner-Allen at 254-867-3875 or [email protected].
