Team D Bible Study Songs of Praise WHAT IS HIS NAME?( Proverbs 30:3-6)
Yahuah has taught me wisdom as I know the knowledge of the holy (4x)
Who has gone up to heaven and come down?
Who has gathered the winds in the fold of His robe?
Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment?
Who has dominion of all the ends of the earth?
What is His name?or the name of His children? What is His name? (2x)
For all of Yah's words are tried in the fire
And he defends those that reverence Him
Add not to His words lest He reprove you and you be made a liar.

The Law of Yah is perfect, converting souls Yah's testimony is faithful, instructing babes The ordinances of Yah are right The commandment of Yah is bright Rejoicing the heart Enlightening the eyes
The fear of Yahuah is pure, enduring forever The judgments of Yah are true And justified altogether To be desired more than gold, And much precious stone- Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb
For your servant keeps to them And in keeping time is great reward And spare me from attack of strangers If they don't gain dominion over me Then I shall be blameless And clear from great sin (within) Who will understand his transgressions? Purge me from my secret sin
So shall the sayings of my mouth And the meditations of my heart Be pleasing- continually-before Thee (2x)

Sodom, Gomorrah, Moab, Ammon and the Seed of Abraham – Genesis 19
Introduction Sodom and Gomorrah, cities in the plain. Moab and Ammon, nations they became. Two cities, two nations that
have connections to Israel (Northern and Southern Kingdoms), and the end time transition back to the united
kingdom of Israel in the rulership of The Anointed One. As Abraham and Lot are tied at the hip, so too are their
dependants. Abraham had much love for his nephew, a man who could have filled the role of his son if he had his
way. Abraham represents stability whereas, Lot portrayed uncertainty, indecision and unwise choices. But YHWH
Elohim loved them both and showed Lot mercy on account of his uncle Abraham. Lot’s sons, Moab and Ammon,
were born out of chaos and poor judgement. But YHWH Elohim considered them because of their father Lot.
Moab and Ammon are tied to “Israel and Judah”, “Sodom and Gomorrah” and events to unfold for the end time.
This presentation focuses on parallels between the doomed cities of Sodom and Gomorrah with connections to
the children of Abraham and Lot and our current generation. Sodom and Gomorrah is presented in this third study
of Genesis 19 because of the expansiveness of the topic and a mere gloss in the previous studies would not suffice.
This topic is important given the signs of the times, and the command from the Anointed One about the faithful
watching and praying. This presentation is a guide towards additional study on YHWH Elohim judgement related
through his prophets.

Where is Sodom & Gomorrah?
Where is Sodom & Gomorrah?
The account of Sodom and Gomorrah is found in the
Torah (Law of Mosses), and post destruction
described as a lush and flourishing land:
(Gen 13:8-11 Brenton) 8And Abram said to
Lot, Let there not be a strife between me and
thee, and between my herdmen and thy
herdmen, for we are brethren. 9Lo! is not the
whole land before thee? Separate thyself from
me; if thou goest to the left, I will go to the
right, and if thou goest to the right, I will go to
the left. 10And Lot having lifted up his eyes,
observed all the country round about Jordan,
that it was all watered, before God overthrew
Sodom and Gomorrha, as the garden of the
Lord, and as the land of Egypt, until thou come
to Zogora. 11And Lot chose for himself all the
country round Jordan, and Lot went from the
east, and they were separated each from his
brother. And Abram dwelt in the land of
Chanaan.

Given the redrawing of geographical boundaries (Sykes-Picot Agreement), and the renaming of places, locating biblical territories can be a challenge. Looking at the google map screenshot we have Israel and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan sharing a border separated by the river Jordan. This area is arid and there are disputes regarding water rites: Water politics in the Jordan River basin refers to political issues of water within the Jordan River drainage basin, including competing claims and water usage, and issues of riparian rights of surface water along transnational rivers, as well as the availability and usage of ground water. Water resources in the region are scarce, and these issues directly affect the five political subdivisions (Israel, the Palestinian West Bank territory, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan) located within and bordering the basin, which were created since the collapse, during World War I, of the former single controlling entity, the Ottoman Empire. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_politics_in_the_Jordan_River_basin)
Where is Sodom & Gomorrah?
Stepping pack to Genesis 14, the cities under judgement are mentioned when Lot was kidnaped and his ‘Saviour’, Uncle Abraham, came to his rescue: (Gen 14:8 Brenton) 8And the king of Sodom went out, and the king of Gomorrha, and king of Adama, and king of Seboim, and king of Balac, this is Segor, and they set themselves in array against them for war in the salt valley,
This area is also termed ‘The cities of the plain’: According to the Torah, the kingdoms of Sodom and Gomorrah were allied with the cities of Admah, Zeboim, and Bela. These five cities, also known as the "cities of the plain" (from Genesis in the Authorized Version), were situated on the Jordan River plain in the southern region of the land of Canaan. The plain was compared to the garden of Eden[Gen.13:10] as being well-watered and green, suitable for grazing livestock.
These cities dotted the riverbank and were not in a cluster as some believe

Where is Sodom & Gomorrah?
This location is accessible and there are ‘visible signs’ of a civilization existing, and being destroyed, in the areas shown in the previous map.
From the visual signs, there is no doubt that there were cities in the locations, and those cities flourishing for a period. Weather these cities are those mentioned in the Torah, given the ‘visible signs’, the evidence would be in disputed by those who want to destroy the name of YHWH Elohim and everything he stands for.
The visual evidence backs the biblical account of the cities being along the banks of the Jordan river. There are many videos that document this evidence and would be linked on the bible study website.

Where is Moab and Ammon, and are these people still living?
Where is Moab and Ammon, and are these people still
living?
For a certainty it can be assumed that people of the cities of the plains are no
more. But what about the children of Lot (Moab & Ammon). Over time, and
myriad of conflicts, people have been migrating either forcefully or voluntary.
Using Lot, and the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah as an example:
Lot – Lot and his possessions were taken, when the Kings of the East went to battle with
the Kings of the plain, and Lot was rescued by his uncle:
– Genesis 14: 11 - 13
Israel – The kingdom of Israel was taken into captivity, forcefully removed, by King
Salamanassar, king of the Assyrians:
– 2 Kings 18: 9 – 12
The inhabitants, of the Kingdom of Israel, never returned to the land and was replaced
with Gentiles who now make up the people group called the Samaritans and hence the
Samaritan Pentateuch. From this one can understand the discussion the Anointed One had
with the Samaritan woman at the well.
Judah – The kingdom of Judah was taken into captivity twice:
– Jeremiah 29 (MT)/Jeremiah 36 (LXX)
– The destruction of the ‘Second Temple’ and the Roman Exile

This forced movement of people was used as a form of punishment and
subjugation of people:
Exile in the Hebrew Bible by Martien A. Halvorson-Taylor
Exile (Hebrew galut), or forced migration, is a theme that recurs throughout the Hebrew
Bible, starting with Adam and Eve, who are forced to leave Eden (Gen 3:23-24). The story of
Israel’s formation begins when Abraham is exiled from his kin and his land to the land that
Yahweh promises to him (Gen 12:1-2). Jacob and Joseph spend time in exile and Moses lives
his whole life in exile.
The threat and the reality of exile resurface time and again within the Hebrew Bible and
punctuate some of its major canonical divisions. The first five books of the Hebrew Bible (the
Pentateuch/Torah) end with Israel anticipating its entry into the Promised Land but perched
on the edge of the Jordan River, still in exile; the fulfillment of the promise of the land is still
elusive. The next section of the canon, the Deuteronomistic History (Deuteronomy through
Kings), ends with the Babylonian captivity.
Historically, Israel and Judah experienced a number of major exiles. Foremost among these
was the exile of the northern kingdom of Israel at the hands of the Assyrians around 720
B.C.E. These exiled people were presumably deported and scattered within the Assyrian
Empire, although we know little of their fate. Their dispersal gave rise to the tradition of the
“ten lost tribes of Israel.”

In 597 B.C.E., the elite of the southern kingdom of Judah, including the prophet Ezekiel, were exiled by the Babylonians; and in 586 B.C.E., when the temple was sacked and burned by the Babylonians, a new wave of Judean exiles arrived in Babylon. Others fled to Egypt, although a significant number of Judeans also remained behind in Judah. By the sixth century B.C.E., there were vibrant pockets of Jewish exiles living in both Egypt and Mesopotamia. https://www.bibleodyssey.org/en/places/related-articles/exile-in-the-hebrew-bible
Where is Moab and Ammon, and are these people still living?
Looking at the ‘Arab Spring’ conflicts, that saw the overthrow of many
authoritarian governments in the Geo-Political regions of northern Africa and the
Middle East (former lands of the Ottoman Empire) and also the Venezuelan
situation. These conflicts saw the resurgence of slavery in Libya and a ‘so called’
refugee crisis in Syria, and now mass migration to the surrounding regions of
Venezuela. Though tragic, lets not get our emotions in the way of the reality of
these events. Resulting from these conflicts is a similar situation to the forced
migrations of peoples in biblical times. The optics of the situation is a little
different because of how the media frames the narrative for public consumption.
The hidden powers, behind it all, have orchestrated conflicts to hide their true
intensions. The deck is being stacked as their vision of society is shaped just as
the tower of Babel. Many of the migrants, caught up in the chaos, are just as
unawares of the true intensions. Many may thing that escaping to the west is a
fresh start and a great opportunity to realise personal dream. For many, the
migration to western lands have not materialised the success they were
expecting. The hidden powers are just using people to achieve their alternate
goal of usurping the authority of our YHWH Elohim as they continue to defy his
instructions and mess with his order.

Where is Moab and Ammon, and are these people still living?
Moab and Ammon, like Israel was appropriated land by YHWH Elohim:
Edom, Moab, and Ammon In History
The Biblical people called by the names above once occupied the territory we know today
as Jordan, the nation due east of Israel. Not many people realize that Edom, Moab, and
Ammon were given their homelands by God himself (Deut. 2:5, 9, 19) just like Israel was.
And just like Israel was told to clear the land west of the Jordan River of the people who
lived there at the time, Edom, Moab, and Ammon were told to perform the same service
for God on the Eastern side (Deut. 2:10-12, 20-22).
• (Deu 2:18-19 Brenton) 18Thou shalt pass over this day the borders of Moab to Aroer; 19and ye shall
draw nigh to the children of Amman: do not quarrel with them, nor wage war with them; for I will
not give thee of the land of the children of Amman for an inheritance, because I have given it to
the children of Lot for an inheritance.
One of the people groups they eliminated was the Rephaites (Rephaim), an ancient group
of loosely related tribes of giants who are often thought to be descendants of the
Nephilim, mentioned in Genesis 6. In fact, when the 12 Israelite spies first went into the
promised land they reported seeing Nephilim there (Numbers 13:33). The Rephaites were
a mysterious people about whom the Bible says very little, except that Israel, Edom, Moab,
and Ammon were all given the task of destroying them and taking their land.

Where is Moab and Ammon, and are these people still living?
Continued - Moab and Ammon, like Israel was appropriated land by YHWH Elohim:
This land now encompasses the modern day Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (Iraq was also a Hashemite kingdom before the monarch was overthrown and eventually led by the puppet Saddam Hussein). The capital of the kingdom is Amman, based on the Greek
transliteration of the name, and encompasses the former lands (Nations) of Ammon,
Moab and Edom. Edom is a separate topic on it’s own and is also intertwined with Israel
and Judah.
From our perspective, these Semitic peoples are presumed to be extinct, but do not let
their non mention lead you to complacency. They are ‘entangled in their lands’ waiting
for the moment of their eventual reveal. The land gives us clues to their existence if one
is to pay attention. The children of Moab and Ammon are known to YHWH Elohim, and
rest assured, He has His very watchful eyes on them. At the appointed time they would
feature in the restoration of His kingdom through the Anointed One.

Bereshit/Genesis 19 Commentary
Ruth of Moab
Ruth of Moab
King David had a very interesting ancestor that poses a problem for some. The story of Ruth, from the
scroll/book, attributed to her name is a narrative of a Hebrew family of Judah, going into self imposed
exile into Moab because of famine. This famine may have been as a result of Israel’s (Unified)
reluctance to follow the instructions given through the servant Moses from YHWH Elohim.
When this family moved to Moab all seemed well. The children grew up and married and then tragedy
struck:
• Rth 1:3-5 Brenton 3And Elimelech the husband of Noemin died; and she was left, and her two
sons. 4And they took to themselves wives, women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpha, and
the name of the second Ruth; and they dwelt there about ten years. 5And both Maalon and Chelaion
died also; and the woman was left of her husband and her two sons.
Being now a widow, Naomi decides to return to Israel and live out her life after hearing about the
change in fortunes in the land:
• Rth 1:6 Brenton 6And she rose up and her two daughters-in-law, and they returned out of the
country of Moab, for she heard in the country of Moab that the Lord had visited his people to give
them bread.
The disputes with Ruth is whether she is of the people of Moab, or Israelites who had previously
migrated to the land of Moab and became citizens taking on the persona. There are some who do not
want to accept that a Moabitess can be an ancestor of King David, and further have a connection to the
Anointed One.

Ruth of Moab
Let the words from the scroll/book of Ruth speak for itself as the narrative is picked up from verse seven
of chapter one (Keep in mind that these are Semitic people and not modern westerners):
(Rth 1:7-22 Brenton) 7And she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with
her: and they went by the way to return to the land of Juda. 8And Noemin said to her daughter-in-law, Go now,
return each to the house of her mother: the Lord deal mercifully with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and
with me. 9The Lord grant you that ye may find rest each of you in the house of her husband: and she kissed
them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept. 10And they said to her, We will return with thee to thy people. 11And Noemin said, Return now, my daughters; and why do ye go with me? have I yet sons in my womb to be
your husbands? 12Turn now, my daughters, for I am too old to be married: for I said, Suppose I were married, and
should bear sons; 13would ye wait for them till they should be grown? or would ye refrain from being married for
their sakes? Not so, my daughters; for I am grieved for you, that the hand of the Lord has gone forth against me. 14And they lifted up their voice, and wept again; and Orpha kissed her mother-in-law and returned to her
people; but Ruth followed her. 15And Noemin said to Ruth, Behold, thy sister-in-law has returned to her people
and to her gods; turn now thou also after thy sister-in-law. 16And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to
return from following thee; for whithersoever thou goest, I will go, and wheresoever thou lodgest, I will lodge;
thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God. 17And wherever thou diest, I will die, and there will I be
buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if I leave thee, for death only shall divide between me and thee. 18And Noemin seeing that she was determined to go with her, ceased to speak to her any more. 19And they went
both of them until they came to Bethleem: and it came to pass, when they arrived at Bethleem, that all the city
rang with them, and they said, Is this Noemin? 20And she said to them, Nay, do not call me Noemin; call me
'Bitter,' for the Mighty One has dealt very bitterly with me.

Ruth of Moab
Let the words from the scroll/book of Ruth speak for itself as the narrative is picked up from verse seven
of chapter one (Keep in mind that these are Semitic people and not modern westerners):
(Rth 1:7-22 Brenton) 21I went out full, and the Lord has brought me back empty: and why call ye me Noemin,
whereas the Lord has humbled me and the Mighty One has afflicted me? 22So Noemin and Ruth the Moabitess,
her daughter-in-law, returned from the country of Moab; and they came to Bethleem in the beginning of barley
harvest.
Ruth is connected to Abraham via her distant father Lot. She married into Israel abandoning the ways of her
people Moab and adopting righteousness. She is still referred to as of Moab:
– Rth 4:1-5 Brenton 1And Booz went up to the gate, and sat there; and behold, the relative passed by, of whom Booz spoke: and Booz said to him, Turn aside, sit down here, such a one: and he turned aside and sat down. 2And Booz took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye here; and they sat down. 3And Booz said to the relative, The matter regards the portion of the field which was our brother Elimelech's which was given to Noemin, now returning out of the land of Moab; 4and I said, I will inform thee, saying, Buy it before those that sit, and before the elders of my people: if thou wilt redeem it, redeem it, but if thou wilt not redeem it, tell me, and I shall know; for there is no one beside thee to do the office of a kinsman, and I am after thee: and he said, I am here, I will redeem it. 5And Booz said, In the day of thy buying the field of the hand of Noemin and of Ruth the Moabitess the wife of the deceased, thou must also buy her, so as to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.
Also, mentioned in the genealogy of the Anointed One:
– Mat 1:5-6 KJV 5And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; 6And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
YHWH Elohim is no respecter of persons as it relates to His instructions. Even if you are home born, and
disrespected his instructions, you are judged according to His righteousness. Ruth the Moabitess took on his way
and found a place among Israel, unlike her sister-in-law who returned to the Gods of Moab. Like her distant uncle
Abraham, she left those ways behind in Moab and journeyed to the promised land not looking back her distant
grandmother.

Notable verses mentioning Sodom, Gomorrah, Moab & Ammon
Notable verses mentioning Sodom, Gomorrah, Moab & Ammon
The words of YHWH Elohim through the prophets makes mention of Sodom, Gomorrah, Moab and Ammon in connection
with the divided peoples of Israel. These mentions are for the time of the end when His plan of restoration, through his
Anointed One, begins. These passages of scripture should be mentioned in the same breath as the many reference coming
out of the scroll/book of Revelation (Apocalypse). Many of these passages, from the prophets, may fit in an inconvenient way
into end time doctrines, and becomes a problem when trying to bridge the ‘Old’ and the ‘New’. These references are from the
prophets and extra biblical sources:
• Isaiah – Sodom & Gomorrah
– (Isa 1:8-10 KJV) 8And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a
besieged city. 9Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we
should have been like unto Gomorrah. 10Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our
God, ye people of Gomorrah.
– (Isa 3:9 KJV) 9The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide
it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
– (Isa 13:19-22 KJV) 19And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when
God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. 20It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to
generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there. 21But wild beasts
of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall
dance there. 22And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces:
and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

These references are from the prophets and extra biblical sources:
• Jeremiah - Sodom & Gomorrah
– (Jer 23:13-15 KJV) 13And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people
Israel to err. 14I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies:
they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as
Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah. 15Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets;
Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is
profaneness gone forth into all the land.
– (Jer 49:17-18 KJV/29: 17-18 LXX) 17Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at
all the plagues thereof. 18As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall
abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it.
– (Jer 50:38-40 KJV/27: 38-40 LXX) 38A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of
graven images, and they are mad upon their idols. 39Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the
islands shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be
dwelt in from generation to generation. 40As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith
the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.

have done. 49Moreover this was the sin of thy sister Sodom, pride: she and her daughters lived in pleasure, in fullness of
bread and in abundance: this belonged to her and her daughters, and they helped not the hand of the poor and needy. 50And they boasted, and wrought iniquities before me: so I cut them off as I saw fit.
• Amos - Sodom & Gomorrah
– (Amo 4:10-12 LXX) 10I sent pestilence among you by the way of Egypt, and slew your young men with the sword,
together with thy horses that were taken captive; and in my wrath against you I set fire to your camps: yet not even thus
did ye return to me, saith the Lord. 11I overthrew you, as God overthrew Sodoma and Gomorrha, and ye became as a
brand plucked out of the fire: yet not even thus did ye return to me, saith the Lord. 12Therefore thus will I do to thee, O
Israel: nay because I will do thus to thee, prepare to call on thy God, O Israel.
• Jeremiah - Ammon
– (Jer 49:1-3 KJV) 1Concerning the Ammonites, thus saith the LORD; Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth their king
inherit Gad, and his people dwell in his cities? 2Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to
be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel
be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD. 3Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with
sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by the hedges; for their king shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together.

Putting things into perspective
Putting things into perspective The children of Lot features prominently with the children of Israel throughout their
histories, and in the end times. Their respective borders were not that distant from
each other with various levels of influence. As highlighted by Bruce Routledge:
In the Hebrew Bible, the relationship between Israel and Moab is an enigma. On one
hand, Moab is the enemy. Moabite history begins with an ethnic joke that goes back
to Lot’s incestuous relations with his daughters, implying that the similarity in Hebrew
between Mo’abi (“Moabite”) and me’abi (“from my father”) was no coincidence (Gen
19:37). Moabite women lead the men of Israel into sin during the exodus (Num 25:1-
2) and Solomon into sin as king (1Kgs 11:1, 1Kgs 11:7). The offspring of such unions
are barred from entering the assembly of Yahweh even after ten generations,
according to Deut 23:3. The Moabite king Balak hires Balaam to curse the Israelites
but is foiled by a talking donkey (Num 22-24), and a later Moabite monarch, Eglon,
oppresses Israel until he is assassinated by the clever Ehud from the tribe of
Benjamin (Judg 3:12-30). The victorious King David is said to have systematically
executed two out of every three Moabite captives (2Sam 8:2). Elisha prophesies
water in the desert and victory over Moab, but when the king of Moab sacrifices his
first-born son a great wrath is unleashed against the armies of Israel and Judah (2Kgs
3:27). The prophets Amos (Amos 2:1-2), Isaiah (Isa 15-16, Isa 25:10-12), Jeremiah
(Jer 48), and Ezekiel (Ezek 25:8-11) all prophesy the destruction of Moab.

Putting things into perspective Family relations aside, not all is going to be well as previously read concerning Moab
and Ammon in the prophets. Every declaration from YHWH Elohim, through his
servants, should be looked at collectively and not through the optics of current social
and political constructs as not everything is as it seems. People, lands, history,
culture, government etc. is only a part of the picture that’s crafted to seem
disconnected from the scriptures. Using the scriptures to shape perspective, the
scriptures should shape the prophetic view as in the opinion of Wayne Croley
discussing Moab, & Ammon and the end times:
The fate of Moab, Ammon, and Edom is an end time Bible prophecy topic that a
lot of people tend to overlook.
Moab, Ammon, and Edom, located in Jordan, will have an important role to play
in the future. In this article, I will give an overview of what will happen to Moab,
Ammon, and Edom during the end times…
The Bible indicates that Israel will destroy Edom, Moab, and Ammon in the future.
Numbers 24:17-19 is a Messianic prophecy that predicts that the Messiah (Christ)
will lead Israel’s effort to destroy Moab and take over Edom:
• (17) I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star
out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the

• corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. (18) And Edom shall be a
possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.
(19) Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that
remaineth of the city.” (Numbers 24:17-19)
Similarly, Zephaniah 2:8-9 promises that God will destroy Moab and Ammon and
that the remnant of Israel will take over their lands in the future:
• (8) I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon,
whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.
(9) Therefore as I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as
Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and
saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the
remnant of my people shall possess them.” (Zephaniah 2:8-9)
There’s no doubt that Edom, Moab, and Ammon will be dealt with harshly in the
future. However, a key question is “when will Israel deal with Edom, Moab, and
Ammon?”
The question as to when is anyone guess, but it can be assume that the events
outlined have not yet happened, and at the key moment of the Anointed One’s
return it would all unfold. The take away is to connect the clues of the scripture to
develop a new perspective into scriptural understanding.

Warning from the Anointed One & others
Warning from the Anointed One & others
When the Anointed One spoke to his disciples, and those who came to seek his wisdom,
he spoke of consequences that awaits:
• (Mat 11:20-24 KJV) 20Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not: 21Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you. 23And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. 24But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
• (Luk 17:28-30 KJV) 28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
In addition, Peter and Jude in their epistle writes to their intended audience about the consequences to be faced by the wicked:
• (2Pe 2:4-6 KJV) 4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

Warning from the Anointed One & others
In addition, Peter and Jude in their epistle writes to their intended audience about the consequences to be faced by the wicked:
• (Jud 1:7 KJV) 7Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Fair warning to all who would take heed. Sodom and Gomorrah serves as a warning and example for future generations to come. Their destruction, is the visual example, that remains for us to reflect and repent. Just as in the days of Noah and Lot, the people did not take the warnings seriously. The same is to be said for our generation. YHWH Elohim forewarned his people, no one is without excuses. Though YHWH Elohim is , ‘Loving’, ‘Slow to Anger’ and ‘Gracious’, he is not going to accept foolish ignorance as an excuse for those who choose to ignore his commandments.
