Follow the THREE R’s.
1. REGISTER your team online• Set a fundraising goal. Be both optimistic AND realistic!• Upload pictures, videos, and other fun stuff to profile your team and track your success.
2. RECRUIT your teammates• Aim for a team of 10. Use the recruitment templates, create personalized letters, and use Facebook
and Twitter buttons to spread the word.• Encourage teammates to ask their friends to join them. Nothing beats word of mouth.• Tell people your connection to the disease, and share your personal story.
3. RAISE money• Be the first one to hit a team milestone. Encourage your team to aim for $125
each - that way you will all get a T-Shirt on event day!• Talk to your employer or a local business to sponsor your team, or match the
funds your team raises. • Encourage people to make their donations online. It’s easier and tax
receipts are issued immediately.• Use Facebook and Twitter to help get the team working together!• Start early…send reminders…update messages…congratulate your team
on their milestones!

Here are 5 tips to get your team registered and off to a great start!
1. Assign one member to be team captain and that person sets up team (avoids doubling up on teams).
2. Safeway Teams remember to include your store number in team name – example: “Safeway Store #456 – the Superamazings”.
3. Make sure to download the new off-line pledge form and that everyone on your team is using one per participant.
4. Here’s a great log sheet if you are collecting cash donations at your station.
5. Take time to make sure that all the donor’s information is legible and complete otherwise a tax receipt cannot be issued. Help us help them!
