Problem and Objective Statements

Problem Statement

Archer Beauty is a local beauty store that needs improvement on their current inventory and floor layout system. Employees are currently checking inventory by hand and product placements in the store have customers constantly asking for product location. The storage room is also unorganized without shelving systems.

Objective Statement

The purpose of this project is to 1) create a web enabled inventory management database, 2) redesign the storage unit, 3)create aisle signs for product location, 4)reorganize the product layout, and 5)redesign floor area to better utilize space. These goals will help reduce labor hours on checking inventory, minimize the reorder time, and create better flow to meet customers’ needs.
