Teaching Strategies
Instructional methods for learning styles
There are many different teaching/instructional strategies that can be used in a classroom to cater to the different learning styles. Here are a few examples.
Kinesthetic/Tactile Learners
• Require a more “hands-on” instructional method.
Take for example this Elementary Spelling Lesson.Notice how a ball is being passed around which engages the students into constant movement while learning.
Visual Learners
• Have to be able to actually “see” whatever lesson is being taught
Take for example this MiddleSchool Math lesson
It is a PowerPoint Presentation!!!
Auditory Learners
• Require a lesson that they could actually hear or listen to.
Take for example this High School English Lesson.
Students listen to a poem being read from a CD.
