CDRMaggithenattendedtheUniversityofConnecticutwherehegraduatedinDecember2005withamaster’sdegreeinCivilEngineering.FollowinggraduateschoolhewasassignedtoCivilEngineeringUnit(CEU)Providence,whereheservedasbothaDesignProjectManagerandaConstructionProjectManagerprovidingmissionsupporttotheCoastGuard’sFirstDistrict.InJuly2009,CDRMaggijoinedtheUSCGAfacultyasanInstructorwherehetaughtforfouryearsbeforereturningtoCEUProvidencetoserveastheRealPropertyandPlanningBranchChiefforoneyearandthentheExecutiveOfficerforoneyear.

InAugust2015,CDRMaggiwasselectedasamemberofthePermanentCommissionedTeachingStaffatUSCGAandiscurrentlyworkingtowardhisPh.D.attheUniversityofRhodeIsland,specializinginsoftengineeringsolutionsusinggeosyntheticstoimprovecoastalresiliency.CDRMaggiisalicensedProfessionalEngineerintheStateofFloridaandacertifiedProjectManagementProfessionalfromtheProjectManagementInstitute.
