Primary Role

Deal with student discipline issues and report any persistent bad behaviour to the Centre Director.

Support the Centre Director and ANGLO Head Office staff

Attend meetings as required by the Centre Director.

Attend welcome meetings as required by the Centre Director (CD).

Assist with the induction, meeting and greeting of incoming students.

Assist the CD in the set-up, shut down and day-to-day running of the centre.

Notify the CD of any persistent student misbehaviour.

Ensure all staff are aware of accident and emergency procedures.

Distribute and Supervise on-line student questionnaires and teacher feedback forms.

Requirements Essential:

Native or native level English speaker.

First degree.

TEFLQ qualified: DELTA, Trinity DipTESOL, MA TESOL (with 5 hours of observed teaching practice), PGCE in TESOL.

Experience of working with Juniors.

Clear and confident communication skills.

Flexibility and adaptability.

Proven leadership skills.

Exceptional time management and organisational skills.

Proven ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Desirable:

Educational management experience.

Experience of working in a summer school environment.

Experience with Trinity examinations.

Proven ability to work well in a team.

At least 5 years teaching experience Notice Period

No notice is required from the Employer where the period of employment is less than one month.

1 week’s notice is required from the Employee where the period of employment is less than one month.

Where employment has lasted for one month or more, not less than 1 week’s notice is required from either party.

English Language Teacher

Responsible to: Teaching Manager

Primary Role

To deliver stimulating and communicative language learning sessions following the ANGLO Syllabus.

Duties and Responsibilities

Attend a training session before the course starts or on arrival at the centre.

Ensure ANGLO policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Follow the ANGLO syllabus and use the materials you have been given (text books, syllabus and lesson guidelines).

Deliver communicative, student-centred lessons.

Begin and end lessons on time.

Use ANGLO resources to help prepare students for excursions and cultural visits.

Help with placement and grouping of students.

Be prepared for each class and know individual learner’s profiles.

Show sensitivity to the group and individuals and creating a positive learning atmosphere.

Prepare students for Trinity GESE or / and SEW exams.

Report to the Teaching Manager and cooperate with the Centre Director and ANGLO head office staff.

Attend staff meetings as and when required.

Meet the administrative requirements of the course including keeping a class register for each lesson with

records of student attendance, maintaining records of work, completing student profiles and reports,

preparing end of the course certificates and giving feedback.

Attend the award ceremonies.

Leave classrooms clean and tidy.

Report student absences or sickness at the beginning of each lesson.

Prepare Weekly Student Reports.

Notify the Teaching Manager of any persistent misbehaviour.

Help ensure that the academic programme runs smoothly and efficiently.

Be observed at least once during your contract for quality control and professional development.

Dress smartly and behave professionally at all times.

Prepare classrooms for use, taking care of school property and equipment and leave classrooms clean and tidy at the end of each lesson.

Make sure that books, CDs, CD players and any other teaching materials are returned to the Teaching Manager at the end of each teaching day.

Follow guidelines and rules set out in all teaching staff manuals.

Be proactive in safeguarding students and make sure they are not exposed to any risks.

Implement on-line student questionnaires and post summer teacher feedback.

TEFL Certificate - CELTA or Trinity TESOL or equivalent).

Native or native-level English speaker.

Anglo ASL is an original project which ensures students make the most of their stay in

the UK to develop their work and business related vocabulary and language skills.

This is achieved through a teacher-led programme of 3.5 hours per day business English TUITION sessions (min B1 Level)

and two INTERNSHIP SESSIONS per week, especially designed to include:

● Conferences and interactive workshops - Guests Speakers (on-site & online)

● Tour of local company

● University and work experience - Volunteer projects

● Public Presentations - ASL Projects

Responsible to: Teaching Manager

Primary Roles:

● To deliver stimulating and communicative indoor and outdoor business language learning sessions following the ANGLO ASL Timetable and Syllabus.

Duties will include: ● Reporting to the Teaching Manager and liaising with the Activity Manager and Activity Leader to deliver ASL

sessions following ANGLO ASL Timetable and Syllabus. ● Creating and implementing communicative materials for indoor and outdoor work related learning sessions, to

include local company visits, in order to deliver ASL learning sessions for a group of 30 students max. ● Sending the weekly session planner and materials to the Head Office for approval before the new week starts ● Developing ASL students’ work related vocabulary and language skills. ● Creating opportunities and encouraging ASL students to communicate with a wide range of audiences. ● Showing sensitivity to the group and individuals and creating a positive learning atmosphere.
