    When you enter the world of Horrible Mysteries you will be immersed into an interactive adventure through 16 amazing, breath-taking sets as you take a journey around the world, meeting unsavoury characters who will give you a feel for what it was like to live in days gone by. This is a unique and fun way of bringing learning to life.

    The experience is intended to cover History for KS2 & KS3.

    Phileas Foggs World of Adventures embraces an approach to learning that:

    engage pupils in the learning opportunity

    of Geography and History

    elements

    • It will be memorable and fun

  • What is Horrible Mysteries?Horrible Mysteries is an authentic 16 set walk through adventure around the world. Your pupils will meet characters that will encourage curiosity about the past in Britain and the wider world and consider how much the past influenced the present, what life used to be like, and how societies, beliefs and cultures influenced peoples actions.

    Our Vision

    Our vision is to create an authentic setting that will provide an interactive high-quality learning opportunity to young children by:• Recognising what interactive learning

    can achieve for young people’s overall wellbeing

    • Set high expectations of what individual young people can achieve through interactive learning

    • Review the outcome and celebrate young people’s achievements

    • Encourage independent participation

    At Horrible Mysteries our managers and staff:• Are aware of the over-arching importance of improving the

    wellbeing of all children and young people.• Are creative in providing the time, staff and resources to enable

    young people to develop and achieve• Listen to young people and take account of what they say• Involve parents/carers, teachers and support staff and take

    account of what they say • Monitor the impact of our centre to ensure the vision is met

    through outcome measures. • Manage the provision in a way that secures its long-term

    sustainability • Create an environment that is safe, welcoming and rewarding

    Toolbox, which holds many different leaning materials that can be used before and after your visit and support Key Stages 2 & 3 of the National Curriculum for History.

    • We can offer personal tailored learning packages to suit your class requirements.

    • Opportunity to complete a learning outcome measure

    • Opportunity to provide us with honest feedback

    • We also offer workshops that include behind the scene skills such as screenwriting and acting.

    We want to support young people to develop confidence through participation, by:• Overcoming their apprehensions to take part in

    Through learning at our centre, we believe that young people will have the opportunity to improve their health and wellbeing by:• Learning what it is like to actively participate in

    Importantly this learning opportunity will help develop skills of communication, problem solving, leadership and teamwork. Young people will:• Listen to instructions• Come up with ideas • Understand the importance of listening to

    experiences.• Work together solving problems and sharing

    responsibility
