Program Information & RankingsMSU’s Distinctive Teacher Preparation Program:• All MSU teacher preparation students must complete a 1-year teaching

internship after earning a 4-year undergraduate degree.• Teaching interns earn 12 graduate level credits that can, with program

approval, be applied toward several master’s degree programs offered by the College of Education.

• The Elementary and Secondary Education Programs have been ranked #1 nationally for 25 consecutive years.

Data Collection & Placement Information

In Summer 2019, an electronic version of the Destination Survey was sent to 260 teacher candidates who completed the 2018-2019 teacher certification internship. By the end of December 2019, 216 had responded resulting in an 83% knowledge rate and a 99% placement rate. All results of this survey are based on the responses to individual questions asked. Not all respondents answered every question.
