Materials Needed

The Materials Needed section of the Teacher’s Guide highlights any materials that the students will need to successfully complete the course. These same materials are noted in our online course descriptions.

Practice Activities

Some courses, such as this Algebra 1 example, include many Practice Activities that students are asked to complete throughout the course. These are non-gradable activities so they do not appear in the course Gradebook.

Teachers are encouraged to collect completed documents to monitor how students are performing in the course. For each Practice Activity, there is a link to the Page within the course where the Activity is found, as well as the Study Aid template that has been provided to the student.

Assessments, Answer Keys, & Rubrics

Within the Teacher’s Guide, teachers will find a comprehensive Assessments, Answer Keys, & Rubrics section which provides an overview of all graded assignments/activities/assessments within the course as well as information about how each item is graded. Many assessments are computer-scored. Those are noted as such. If an item requires manual teacher grading, an Answer Key and/or Rubric is provided as a support for the teacher.
