A recent study revealed that 137,000 women in England and Wales are estimated to be living with the
consequences of FGM. To address this issue, the Home Office is championing a proactive approach and has
recommended that all schools and colleges undertake training and awareness on the issues that FGM presents.
This course will ensure you understand what FGM is, the symptoms of it and how to act. All staff who work
within a school setting must undertake this course.
As schools and colleges increasingly work online, it is essential that children and school staff are safeguarded
from potentially harmful and inappropriate online material. This course has been specifically designed for
Teachers and School Staff to protect and educate the whole school in their use of technology and establish
mechanisms to identify, intervene in and escalate any online safety incident where appropriate.
This mandatory course ensures that you are able to identify issues and protect students when they engage with
online content and with others.
After completing this you should then consider other areas of school compliance.

Understanding extremism and radicalism
This course ensures you are able to identify behaviours that may lead to extremism within the young people
you work with and how to act within government guidelines. This important part of school compliance is
mandatory for anyone working with young people. It will provide an important foundation on which to develop
further knowledge around the risks of radicalisation and the role that you can play in supporting those at risk.
This training addresses all forms of terrorism and non-violent extremism, including far right wing and extremism
threatening the UK.
Recent government statistics estimate that 8% of the UK's adult population experienced some form of sexual
exploitation as a child. Eradicating this issue requires all staff to be aware of the signs and the law that sits
behind it.
This course will ensure you understand what sexual exploitation is, the symptoms of it and how to act. All staff

Learning difficulties
Learning is never a straightforward process and for students who demonstrate varying types of learning
difficulties, this can make understanding and progress a real challenge.
Learning disabilities can take many forms, each with varying impacts on an individual’s life and behaviour.
Learning disability training will help you to familiarise with the various types of learning disability and how these
affect learning and development. As learning disabilities take many forms, staff must be prepared to think on
their feet and learn to identify and manage the requirements of each student in their care. The learning
difficulties online training aims to raise awareness of the challenges facing people with learning disabilities,
while highlighting their potential strengths and capacity for independence.
By undertaking this training, staff at all levels of the school will develop a far stronger understanding of the
nature of learning difficulties, the ways in which it impacts on a student's experience and how we can begin to
help support them.

1. Understanding the principles and practices of assessment 2. Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding 3. Assess occupational competence in the work environment
These qualifications are assessed through activities, which are developed by the Centre, internally marked and sampled as part of quality assurance/ internal verification procedures. The assessment and quality assurance process will be subject to external quality assurance/verification.

Course Assessment These qualifications are assessed through activities, which are developed by the Centre, internally marked and sampled as part of quality assurance/ internal verification procedures.
There must be evidence of the trainee assessor carrying out at least two assessments of two learners (four assessments in total). This occupational competence must not be in assessment itself. In other words, evidence for this unit must not come from the trainee assessing another trainee assessor who, in turn, is assessing someone else. The aim of this unit is to assess the trainee assessor’s knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices that underpin assessment. All learning outcomes in this unit must be assessed using methods appropriate to the assessment of knowledge and understanding. There must be valid, authentic and sufficient evidence for all the assessment criteria. However, one piece of evidence may be used to meet the requirements of more than one learning outcome or assessment criterion.
