which visa?If you are a degree holder arriving from a native English speaking country (America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or the United Kingdom) we provide you a sponsorship letter requesting that you be granted a non-Immigrant B visa from the Thai Embassy prior to your arrival in Thailand. Once you finish the course your employer will start the process to obtain your work permit.
If you are not a degree holder or from a native English speaking country, we advise you to acquire a single entry tourist visa. Once you finish the course your employer will provide you a sponsorship package to obtain a non-immigrant visa and shortly after your work permit.

Where can I work with an Entrust TEFL certificate?
A Entrust TEFL certificate allows you to teach English as a foreign language practically anywhere in the world! We currently have course graduates working all through South East Asia, China, South Korea, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, United Emiratis, Hungary, Spain, Ukraine and Central America.
While all countries have their own set of rules, regulations and requirements concerning the employment of foreign labor, we are recognized around the globe. This is helped by our professional associations, years of solid reputation and over 5000 graduates already working world wide. That said, we do recommend that if you know where you’d ultimately like to teach, that you do your homework about that country’s employment requirements.
Some countries may require an additional or higher qualification (like a degree), along with your Entrust TEFL Certificate. They may also have age and ethnicity requirements in order to legally employ you.

Do I need to have teaching experience to teach in Thailand?
No, you do not need to have any previous teaching experience or even speak a word of Thai. However, a definite interest in this field goes without saying. You don’t need to speak a word of Thai to teach English in Thailand. If you do have teaching experience or certification; a degree in Education, English, Math or Science; and other transferable skills – then we encourage you to apply as well. These are sought after by Thai schools.

Can I teach in a city of my choice?
The final hiring decision is made by your prospective employers individual needs and requirements. As Entrust TEFL is simply making the introduction, you’ll be able to decide whether to accept a job position or not, based on the openings available balanced with your individual needs. That being said, our placement department does not collect any fee or commission on your placement, so we introduce you directly to your prospective employer to give you the most money in your pockets every month.
TEFL graduates will tell you that flexibility and reasonability is key to having an enjoyable experience. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t land your dream job on day one as we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to honor your request. Once you get some teaching experience on your CV, some money in your pocket, a true idea of what levels and where you want to teach . . then you can go for that dream job.

What if I only want to teach for a short time?
You can work as much or as little as you want however, most schools or recruiting agencies will, on average, ask you to sign either a one term (4 months) or full year contract. Most TEFL course graduates work as teachers for at least a year. Many stay in Thailand for much longer, some choosing only to work on a short-term basis at a school or language school during peak periods.
How soon should I expect to be placed?
You should expect to be getting job offers within your first and second week of class as our recruitment division starts contacting employers on your behalf. On the third Monday of the month we provide you with different opportunities so that you can make an informed decision about the school where you’d like to teach. Once you graduate, you should already know where you will be teaching and have made arrangements with your employer with regard to accommodation and transportation to your school.
