Close date for feedback is 5pm Tuesday 12 July 2016. Background Tea Tree Studio is a not-for-profit community organisation that offers all forms of clay work, hand building, wheel throwing and slip casting and was established over 38 years ago. They are the only remaining pottery studio in the northern suburbs offering this type of facility to members of the public. They currently have a membership base of approximately 40 members and approximately 10 casuals who use the studio weekly. Members participate in exhibitions throughout the year and supply their work to a variety of galleries across the state. The studio holds classes and covers a variety of pottery techniques. They also offer specialised workshops, demonstrations, markets and private commissions. Children’s workshops are held upon request. If this request is approved, it will mean that Tea Tree Studio will be granted a 10 year lease providing them with exclusive use of half of the building. This group shares the use of building with Scouts SA and we are also consulting with the community about a 10 year lease for this group at the same location (see map on reverse side). Have your say!
