Official Opening of Parliament 2013 Next Wednesday will see the 24th opening of Parlia-ment. Parents and friends are welcome to attend. Please join us under the COLA at 10am. Parliament and Year 6 “Fun” Photo Orders The Student Parliament photo and Year 6 group fun photo are available for order. A copy of each photo is on display in the office. Individual order forms were sent home with each Year 6 student at the end of last term. Orders are due back by the 17 May. Mother’s Day Stall Next Sunday is Mother’s Day. The P & C will be hold-ing a Mothers Day Stall next Thursday 9 May and Fri-day 10 May mornings from 9.30am to 11.00am. Gifts range up to $5. Students individual artworks from the Art Expo will also be for sale for $5. These make a great gift for mum.

Student of the Week Congratulations to Kasey Brown from the Tangents Class for being selected as this week’s Student of the Week. Kasey is a diligent worker who applies herself fully in all areas.
Bouquets Many Thanks Hawks Nest Golf Club Hawks Nest Golf Club have generously donated $1000 to our P & C Association. Each year the golf club holds a fundraisier for various organisations and we thank them for selecting us in 2013.
NAIDOC Week Preparations Aboriginal and other interested parents and friends are invited to join us for morning tea in the library at 10.30am on Monday 6 May to discuss ideas for this year’s celebration.

Stewart House Day On Friday 10 May we will holding a
fundraiser day to raise money for Stew-art House. It is a gold coin donation to
come out of uniform, and we will also be selling high-bounce balls for $3 each.
We will have some year six students coming around to classes to talk about
