33-35 Monier Road is a mixed-use, new build
development that lies within one of the key zones
for post-Olympic regeneration in east London. The 6
storey building combines 45 residential units, many
of them family-sized, with ground level commercial
spaces for small creative businesses.
TDS were engaged to develop the design of the
which provide the main access to the residential
premises. The apartments are arranged around a
central open-air internal courtyard and it’s from
this communal space the stairs rise to the walkways
providing access to individual units. As such they are
a prominent architectural feature, requiring great
attention to detail not only in their function but also
their aesthetic design.
