Traveller 26 BS-IV vehicles . The performance feedback reported is highly encouraging . All these vehicles engines are assembled with advanced electronically fuel control system to meet the pollution norms IOBD -II. The engine fitted with advanced common rail with pressure control valve. For healthy running of the system we are enclosing herewith guidelines of common rail system. Once the any one above error code latched in the ECU, PRV will open to release the pressure. (Error P000F Pressure Relief Valve is Open ) is

also displaying to understand the user. ( MIL lamp is ON).

A- Consequences of the common rail error code in the system-� When you connect the diagnostic tester always two error will displayed in the system any one from above list & error P00F (Pressure Relief

Valve is Open ).

� ECU has in build counter & it counting the no of times PRV (pressure release valve ) is ‘open’ & time of engine is running with PRV ‘open’.

� For common rail safety feature PRV count is set in the ECU(Max Count 49/ Time 299 minutes ) .

once the above PRV count /time cross , the error P018F (Pressure Relief Valve reached Maximum allowed opening Count or Time) will be

latched in the system

� To clear the error P018F Bosch recommended to replace the common rail as the PRV is in build part of common rail.

Note – As the pressure relief valve is part of common rail for Safety of common rail BOSCH recommended to replace the common

rail when it cross the maximum limit. (Max Count 49/ Time 299 minutes ) .

SN Reason for error code Precaution to be taken

1 Vehicle run with low fuel in the Tank & Adulterated Fuel 1-Vehicle should maintain the minimum fuel level is 15 liters.

Adulterated fuel should be replace immediately.

2- Water separator water should be drained immediately

2 Discharge battery & Loose connection at Battery 1-Battery should be intact & fully charged.

2 –Battery connection should be intact.

3 Hot plugging-

Do not open the rail/ High pressure Pump connection

with ignition ‘ON’

All sensor & ECU connection to be opened after switch ‘OFF’

ignition. Time delay should be 60 sec.

4 Leakage in the fuel system. No leakages in the fuel system from Tank to Rail.

Leakage should be removed immediately

5 Fuel filter damaged / Adulterated Fuel Fuel filter element should be replaced at interval as per service

schedule day wise/ Km wise

B-Precaution to be taken to avoid the error codes.

�After connecting the diagnostic tester when any of above main error code from (SN 1 to7) noticed it should be immediately clear from

the system. This will default clear the error code of P000F (Pressure Relief Valve is Open).

�Refer the error code troubleshooting guide for error code diagnosis.

�Due to above main errors remains Latched for long time the error P018F (Pressure Relief Valve reached Maximum allowed opening

Count or Time). The pressure relief valve function live parameter can be seen though diagnostic tester.

As the common rail is very important part in the fuel system , plant has taken following corrective action
