Case Study GrandVision Corporate Event Client: GrandVision Sector: Optical retailing Description: Conference branding The challenge GrandVision is a leading international optical group and the parent company to over 4,600 opticians across Europe, Latin America and Asia – including Vision Express in the UK. Every year the group chooses a host country to hold its annual conference, to which delegates are invited from across the globe. When GrandVision named the UK as host for 2012, GSD® was delighted to be selected to create a concept and brand the event. The solution GSD® created a teamwork theme – linking GrandVision with the London Olympics. This featured a separate team for each GrandVision function, incorporating a sporting image and linking copy for each department. GSD® followed the sporting theme throughout, designing numbered lanyards (similar to the numbers worn on athletes’ vests), posters, an event registration website, invitations and delegate booklets – amongst other items. The result GrandVision’s conference was remembered by all who attended – supported by a coherent theme that worked well at every level. The company was so happy with the results that it commissioned GSD® to create a new GrandVision website. The applause “We are pleased with the performance of GSD: both projects that we commissioned were delivered to specs, on time and on budget.”- Dimitris Arampatzis, Group Business Development Manager

The challenge GrandVision is a leading international optical group and is the parent company to over 4,600 opticians across Europe,, Latin America and Asia, including, in the UK, Vision Express. Every year they choose a host country to hold theirannual conference to which they invite delegates from across the globe. When GrandVision chose the UK as host, GSD® was delighted to be chosen to create a concept and brand the event.

The solutionGSD® created a teamwork theme, linking the London Olympics with the team at GrandVision. It was devised that each function at GrandVision was to be a separate team, with copy linking a sporting image to each department. GSD® followed the sporting theme throughout with numbered lanyards (similar to the style of the numbers worn on the chests of athletes), posters, a registration website for the event, invitations and delegate booklets amongst other items.

The result• An event that was remembered by all who attended and a coherent theme that worked across the board. GrandVision were so happy with the results, GSD® were commissioned to create GrandVision’s website.

The applause“We are pleased with the performance of GSD: both projects that we commissioned were delivered to specs, on time and on budget.”
