MAINTENANCE

The TD-MIXVENT range of in-line ductextractor fans have been manufactured inaccordance with the rigorous standards ofproduction and quality control laid down bythe international Quality Standard ISO 9001.All components have been checked andeach of the finished products has beentested at the end of the manufacturingprocess.We recommend that you check the followingwhen receiving this product:

That it is the correct size and model.That the details on the rating label are

those you require; voltage, frequency,performance...

The installation should always be carriedout in accordance with all current applicableStandards to the country in which the productis installed.

The installation should always be carriedout by a suitably qualified and competentperson(s).

These fans are not for stand-alone use.They are designed to be incorporated intoducted systems, machines or where safeoperation has been ensured by providingapplicable protection to moving parts.

Do not use this product in, or to extractfrom, potentially hazardous or explosiveatmospheres.

If the extractor operates in a room with aboiler or any other type of appliance requiringair for combustion, check that airreplacement inlets are sufficiently sized.

The extractor outlet must not beconnected to a duct used to exhaust smokeor fumes from any appliance that uses gas orany other type of fuel.

This unit must not be installed outside,unless covered by a suitable weatherproofenclosure.

For installation a support bracket isprovided with the extractor which allows themotor and impeller assembly to be fitted orremoved without dismantling the adjacentducting.

For installation, remove the motor andimpeller assembly from its support bracket(Fig 1).

Connect the inlet and outlet ducting. Inorder to avoid losses in performance we donot recommend that the fan is used inconjunction with ducting of a lesser diameterthan the fan connection spigots.

The fan should be installed to ensureminimum vibration and noise transmission tosurrounding ductwork and building frames.Antivibration mountings and soundattenuating accessories are available.Please contact your local distributor.

The fan should always be installed so thatsafe operation and maintenance can beensured.

Before installing the unit ensure theimpeller is running freely and there are noobstructions to the airflow.

Before Installation and Wiring ENSURETHE MAINS ELECTRICAL SUPPLY ISDISCONNECTED!

The electrical installation must include adouble pole switch with a contact clearanceof at least 3 mm, correctly sized and inaccordance with the electrical standards ofthe country of installation.

Ensure that the voltage and frequency ofthe electrical supply match the informationstated on the Data Plate of the unit(maximum recommended tolerance ofVoltage (V) and Frequency (Hz) ± 5%).

The standard fans are fitted with single-phase motor. For connection follow wiringdiagrams fig.2. All motors are 100% speedcontrollable via electronic voltage regulatingspeed controllers. For connection using aREB single phase speed controller, followwiring diagrams fig.3.

Before operation, check all connectionsare correct and there are no obstructions tothe airflow.

On connecting the electrical supply ensurethe direction of rotation and airflowcorrespond with the direction of airflow /rotation arrows (sited on unit).

Before inspection or repair, ensure that theunit is disconnected from the mains electricalsupply.

The fan impeller should be cleaned at leastonce (1) a year to ensure trouble freeoperation.

Do not clean the unit with strongdetergents or cleaning fluids. Use a damp(not wet) cloth only for cleaning.
