Mrs Nichapa Yoswee revealed that “I will oversee initiatives to strengthen Thailand’s MICE operations and performances to advance Thailand’s position as a preferred business events destination in Asia”. A 30-year veteran with extensive experience in both public and private sector in MICE industry, Mrs Nichapa has laid out new directions for MICE business development in Thailand. These include conceptualizing to recruit new business events from meeting & incentive, convention, and exhibition as well as to uplift domestic MICE market to spur ecosystem growth and support, clustering of business events to better serve specific industries in ASEAN and Asia, and creating an attractive environment for new international events to take root in key cities throughout Thailand.

TCEB will also ramp up support for events that fall under the ten industries highlighted by the government’s “Thailand 4.0” economic transformation model: future automotive, smart device, health tourism, biotechnology, food processing, robotics, aviation and logistics, biofuel and biochemical, digital and integrated medical services. It will also actively explore business events opportunities in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region. The new focus will allow TCEB to be more agile and responsive to new opportunities as it implements Thailand’s national agenda and nurtures a future-ready MICE industry.

Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has appointed Mrs Nichapa Yoswee as the new Senior Vice President of MICE Business beginning FY 2018.
