Seoul Metropolitan Government Release of newly revised ordinance on Mar.23, 2009 “Guideline of architectural design standards for low carbon,

green energy” Obligation to use of energy saving wall outlets more than 80%

will be forced

Other activities “The 3rd C40 Large Cities Climate Summit 2009” and “C40

Seoul Climate Change EXPO” are being held in Seoul from May 18 to 21, 2009.

Remark

Korean government and companies have been and will be continuously considering energy efficiency issues seriously and developing related regulations, guidelines and technologies.

We wish to support and contribute to Energy Efficiency Ad Hoc Group or a prospective TA in IEC/TC100.

Standardization of energy savings at home Energy Savings System (ESS) for home appliances and network devices – Part 1: Architecture and requirements (NP submitted on May 9, 2009)
