Word of the Day
esoteric
For Your Eyes Only Word of the Day:
People often use this adjective to describe things that are suitable for or understood by only a few, and in this sense the word is true to its origins: it's ultimately from a Greek word that is a comparative of "within." Esoteric has an antonym, exoteric, which means "suitable for public consumption." It's much less frequent, suggesting that secret things get talked about more.
