Background: Tasmanian Regional Arts (TRA) is the regional and

community arts peak body for Tasmania

TRA has previously held state conferences in many locations round the state (Ulverstone; Bridport; Freycinet; Deloraine; Latrobe)

In 2010 TRA hosted the hugely successful Junction Arts Festival alongside the Regional Arts Australia Junction 2010 Conference. Many TRA members attended this national event

Over the past three years TRA has held regional forums in lieu of a state conference

In 2010 TRA decided to host a state gathering in 2011 to reconnect with our membership…

TRA intends to host future state gatherings on either an annual or biannual basis

Expressions of interest will be sought from branches interested in hosting future gatherings

The event will continue to provide members with the opportunity to speak to each other and develop networks rather than hear visiting ‘experts’
