Who would be the audience for your media product? For our final product we targeted our film to be for the ages of people from 15 to 24 year olds , this is because we found out from our research that this age group were the most common age group to genrally enjoy thrillers. We wanted to aim our thriller at age groups that we thought would enjoy it and watch it the most. To target this age group we used all of our characters from the ages of 15 to 16 as this age group were the same as the group watching and would be a lot more thrilling if they could relate to the being simular to them. From our secondary research which we found on Pearl and Dean . We wanted to know who are most common audience age group was going to be. To find this information out we researched the comparable profiles of the films that inspired our ideas to create our movie , which were Taken 1 and 2 and The Strangers.

From our secondary

research which we found on Pearl and Dean . We wanted to know who are most common audience age group was going to be. To find this information out we

researched the comparable profiles of the films that inspired our ideas to create our movie , which were Taken 1 and 2 and The Strangers.

Taken

Our main ideas of inspiration were from Taken, on Pearl and Dean we found out on Taken’s comparable profile that 0 % of the age group that watched it were 14 and under have watched the film. We also found out from this secondary research that 15-24 year olds had the highest percentage which shows that they are the most common age group to be mostly intrested in our film, as we have a story line which is fairly simular. When researching the comparable profiles and from our primary research aswell I found out that 15-14 year olds are going to be the most popular age group to watch it and enjoy it. Our group decided this was right age range for our audience as we want ours to be a pj rating so that there is more sales so that younger people at the age of say 12 can also watch It with parents.
