TASK 3.5 How this module affected you? I have to say that this module affected me deeply. Like many people, I had met people with special needs, but one thing is seeing them, and another is being in their shoes. I am profoundly moved by the way of how people with cochlear implants hear. My understanding of the difficulties that this people lives with, is just beyond of what it used to be. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’m probably most human now. How has it changed your way of thinking? I understand why this people deserve all of our respect and love. Definitely is not easy for them to face a world that is not designed for helping and understanding them. I now appreciate the efforts that individuals, professionals, institutions and programs do to give them a quality life. And I think is our teacher’s responsibility to join the cause, as soon as possible. What else do you like to know? Many things, definitely. I like to know how is like to have for a day the brain of a person with ADHD. How they feel, specially when we make them feel frustrated and depressed. We all should wonder how is like to live a day with a disability. I think that should make this society a better society.
