Provide detailed descriptions from chosen examples that establish… Clearly state what production technique(s) you think have been used to create specific soundtrack elements
Setting Starts off with the Spartan stranded off in space looking to have no hope then a space ship arrives and picks him up and then moves on to seeing soldiers salute the Spartan to the Spartan talking with the commander.
There has been like an added effect on the way they speak through a radio when the ship has arrived on the scene.
When they speak on the deck there is an echo showing that they are I a open area on the ship.
Mood During the cut scene it seems like the like the mood is gloomy as violins play through the entire scene and the fact that the characters are talking about people that they have lost due to battles or common deaths.
They have got a single person who plays a violin and I believe that this has been created by using a directional microphone.
When the commander and the Spartan speak there is no sound or music just an echo on their voices.
Game genre The game is Sci-Fi as its set in space. The sounds that are used to tell us it’s a Sci-Fi game as there are rocket engines which are made by using a computer generated program. Also when they find he Spartan here are people speaking which is like a radio speak hey would of used a recording booth to record their voices.
Narrative The Spartan is floating in space as he is then picked up by a ship with other soldiers and then he is welcomed by the commander and they both talk about death and losing people they love and then the commander leaves and the Spartan speaks to himself.
They have used like an echo effect on the voices which suggest they are in a open room, also when we hear the rocket ship engines it gives off the Sci-Fi feel for the game.
