2. In order to learn new language well one should get to know the culture and life styles of the country where it is spoken. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The world is becoming increasingly globalized over time. Hence, understanding a universally spoken language is an inevitable for the contemporary communities. While some opine that incorporating cultural values and bahaviours will ease the language learning process, others, however, disagrees with the statement. This essay is in full agreement with the idea that sociocultural environment is inseparable component of a language. Meticulously analyzing its significance in formation of a language as well as clear understanding of proverbs and idioms will substantiate this stance.

To commence with, culture and social environment play an important role in emergence of a language. In fact, a substantial part of the vocabulary is originated from the tradition and historical features of the society in which it is being spoken. In addition, political and economic aspects as well influence formation of words and its new shades of meaning. For example, in order to function competently in Arabic, acquaintance with Islamic religion and culture is immensely crucial. Hence, it is lucid why some people gravitate towards this particular viewpoint.

Another predominant reason in favour of learning culture is the existence of proverbs and idioms in the language. They, for instance, are the cultural treasures which reflects (reflect) the beliefs and norms of a previous generations that can only be studied through cultural insight. Learning it probably increases individual’s ability to function outside the minimal level of linguistic skill. Moreover, every language contains its specific egos and voices and hence knowing them would allow one to speak fluently with others. Apparently, there is no surprise why many educational institutes composite culture in its language curriculum.

In synopsis, after perusal of the importance of culture and social values to a language, it is acknowledged that knowing culture adds flavor to a particular language usage. Hence, including them in language modules is recommended in order to achieve better results on linguistic skills.

3. Some people think that it would be better for larger companies and industries to move regional areas outside the larger urban centers. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

In recent times, many governments seem to encourage business organisations to relocate their undertakings to rural areas. Hence, increased number of industries shifting to such locations has been witnessed across the globe. Although this trend is believed to have manifold advantages, there are also some detrimental effects which cannot be ignored. This essay is an honest attempt to analyse the pros and cons of this development before constructing an inference.

Some advantages are clearly evident. Initially, industrialization in the provincial (province) would probably enhance economic development activities in the region. This certainly means better employment opportunities for the local people and hence leading to improvements in their living conditions. Moreover, it will also allow emergence of other associate (associated) businesses like hospitality industry and catering services which are likely to be linked with the main business relocated to the region. Hence, a majority of residents will possibly get chance to involve in various kinds of business dealings. Meanwhile, moving to regional areas could be advantageous for companies as well. For example, in rural districts the land costs, rental charges and labour costs are normally lower than the metropolitan areas, thus, firms could save their overheads. As a result, better financial results will be achieved which for instance may allow provision of goods at competitive price. Apparently, these are the factors which contribute to the overall growth of the regional provinces due to industrial relocation.

Nevertheless, there are a number of demerits of the trend which should also be taken into account. First and foremost, countryside are usually home for wide range of animals and plants as well as are nourished with natural beauty. An industrial revolution would definitely mean the destruction of these naturally friend environments which is not in the best interest. In addition, rural areas normally do not have well-built transport infrastructure and communication channels which are essential for everyday (day-to-day) business operations. Therefore, it is likely that companies require immense investments for the initial startup that might affect the feasibility of a particular project. Hence, it is lucid why some companies do not wish to function outside the urban city centers.

In synopsis, following perusal of the impacts of large businesses moving to district provinces, it is acknowledged that such a development is likely to bring several growth opportunities for the region. However, there are certain disadvantages which need to be minimized in order to achieve the optimal outcome from them.
