Meditate on these words from Psalms 96:1-6:

“Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with

gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that

the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people,

the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go

into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his

name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever,

and his faithfulness continues to each generation.”

Psalms 100:1-5 NLT

A WORD FROM YOUR PASTOR

Hello Church! I hope you’re finding ways to stay cool, because Summer is most definitely upon us! I wanted to take a moment to encourage you to begin coming back to church and Sunday School. Now I know that some are still concerned about the virus, and I understand that. But there are many who are out and about, going to sports tournaments and Wal-Mart and Home Depot, but haven’t returned to church. Let me assure you, we are taking more than adequate measures to try and keep you safe. Moreso than the other places you may be visiting. The longer you are away, the more difficult it will be to come back. Some of you have probably already recognized this. Some have gotten accustomed to church online, but that isn’t a good substitute for actually being here with God’s people. At least not for those who are able to be here. They say it takes 3 weeks for a practice to become a habit. Well, for some it’s been much longer than that, since you’ve been to church. Don’t let it become a habit. Again, if you’re concerned about catching the virus, I under-stand. Stay at home. But if you’ve returned to public life in other areas, it’s time to come back to church. I look forward to seeing you! Bro. Chris

CHURCH STAFF

For the month of July your church staff will be going TIE-LESS on Sunday mornings, and we invite all of you tie wearers to join us. Now we could try to come up with some symbolic meaning or theological precedence for leaving our neckties at home. But the simple fact of the matter is - it’s hot in Mississippi during the summer. So men (and any necktie wearing ladies out there) - why not ditch the tie for one month and come to church in comfort? NO TIE JULY is in effect through the month of July.
