Thiru. Dindigul C. Sreenivasan, Hon’ble Minister for Forests, Government of Tamil Nadu presided over the function, released the new varieties, Nandanam Broiler 3 and TANUVAS Native Chicken (Aseel), distributed best farmer awards and inputs to the needy farmers and delivered the presidential address. In his presidential address the Hon’ble Minister enlisted the various stalls put up in the exhibition and brought to lime light the information provided by each stall and appreciated the efforts taken to make the exhibition more informative. The Hon’ble Minister also lauded the efforts taken by the veterinarians in increasing the livestock progeny and their productivity. Thiru. Udumalai K. Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Minister for Animal Husbandry, Government of Tamil Nadu graced the occasion, released the Farmers Technical Workshop manual, recognized the best farmers of TANUVAS, distributed the best college, best outreach centre and best farm station awards, appreciation certificates to the faculty members and students who have received awards from external agencies and delivered the Foundation Day 2017 address. In his Foundation Day address, the Hon’ble Minister reminded about the various welfare schemes initiated by the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to weed out poverty by promoting the distribution of priceless milch animals, goats and sheep to the poorest of the poor. The Hon’ble Minister pointed out that to save the precious lives of livestock which are the only means of sustenance for the poorest of the poor due to clinical emergencies, the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu introduced Animal Mobile Medical Ambulance (AMMA) with exclusive toll free phone no. 1962 at a cost of Rs. 6.34 crores, which is a first of its kind initiative in our country. Madras Veterinary College, Chennai, VUTRC, Coimbatore and Mecheri Sheep Research Station received the best college, best outreach centre and the best farm station awards respectively. Dr. S. Thilagar, Vice-Chancellor, TANUVAS in his Foundation Day Special Address said that the objective of celebrating the TANUVAS Foundation Day as Livestock and Poultry Farmers Day is to take the innovations to the farmers and also to honour the successful farmers benefitted by the activities carried out by the University. TANUVAS FOUNDATION DAY 2017 AND LIVESTOCK AND POULTRY FARMERS DAY CELEBRATED

gained to other farmers and appreciated the efforts taken by TANUVAS in organizing the event. Dr. T.G. Vinay, I.A.S., District Collector, Dindigul in his address said that TANUVAS has fulfilled the expectations of the farmers by providing technical expertise in the control of diseases and new innovations for profitable farming. Earlier, Dr.T.J.Harikrishnan, Registrar, TANUVAS delivered the welcome address and Dr. M. Thirunavukkarasu, Dean, VC&RI, Tirunelveli proposed the vote of thanks. An Exhibition cum Farmers Technical Workshop on the theme, “Popularizing innovative technologies of TANUVAS among livestock farmers” was arranged. Further, video lessons were also screened continuously during the exhibition. More than 5,000 farmers and 500 school students visited the exhibition and more than 2,000 farmers registered for the knowledge sharing sessions. The programme was organised by Dr.N.K.Sudeep Kumar, Director of Extension Education, TANUVAS.

TANUVAS VICE-CHANCELLOR RELINQUISHES OFFICE Dr. S. Thilagar, Vice-Chancellor, TANUVAS relinquished office on 10.12.2017 after completion of three years tenure. During his tenure, “Animal Mobile Medical Ambulance (AMMA) for Rural Veterinary Care in Tamil Nadu” a first of its kind initiative in the country for providing emergency and critical medical care to livestock in remote rural areas of Tamil Nadu, University Innovation and Instrumentation Centres at Madhavaram and Tiruchirapalli, on-line knowledge repository on “Diagnostic imaging”, GMP Standard “Stem Cell Research Centre for Animals”, Biosafety Level-III (BSL-3) Laboratory”, Nano-technology Centre, “Centre for Polytechnic courses in Animal Sciences”, Food Testing

Laboratory for Meat and Meat Products, Thermal Chamber for conducting PG research, Centre for Computer Networking and Data Services (CECONDS), new buildings for Centre for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, MVC, Feed Processing Unit, Orathanadu, Administrative Building, Bargur and VUTRC, Krishnagiri, Regional Artificial Insemination Training Centre and Commercial Livestock Unit for Entrepreneurs were established. Increase in number of “B.V.Sc.&A.H. Student admissions” from 280 to 320 per year, on-line UG and PG admissions, TANUVAS mobile extension services, Farmers FIRST Project, appreciation awards for faculty, best farmer awards, best outreach centre and best college awards were introduced. The TANUVAS Foundation Day was celebrated for the first time as Livestock and Poultry Farmers Day during the year 2015 at Tiruchirapalli and subsequently at Erode and Dindigul during the years 2016 and 2017 respectively. TANUVAS received the most coveted “Best Agricultural University” award in the category of Veterinary and Fisheries Sciences for the highest no. of JRFs. TANUVAS participated in National Institutional Ranking Framework, of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India during the year 2015 and 2016 and bagged 36th and 38th ranks respectively at national level. Consequent to completion of his tenure, the Registrar, TANUVAS is exercising the powers and performing duties of office of the Vice-chancellor as per TANUVAS Act 11(4) until the appointment of the new Vice-chancellor.

NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON VETERINARY FORENSICS

The Pharmaco Vigilance Laboratory for Animal Feed and Food Safety (PLAFFS), Directorate, Centre for Animal Health Studies, organized a National Workshop on “Recent perspectives in Veterinary Forensics”, a first of its kind in the country at MVC from 20.11.2017 to 22.11.2017. The workshop is part of a new laboratory established at TANUVAS funded by NADP. Dr. S. Thilagar, Vice-Chancellor, TANUVAS presided over the inaugural function held on 20.11.2017 and delivered the presidential address. Dr. K. Ganesh Kumar, I.F.S., Deputy Conservator of Forest, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India delivered the inaugural address and released the compendium and Veterinarian’s desk book on Veterinary Forensics. Director, Centre for Animal Health Studies delivered the welcome address and Dr. G. Sarathchandra, Professor and Head, PLAFFS delivered the vote of

thanks. A total of 65 participants from different parts of the country participated. The workshop consisted of lectures on different topics pertaining to Veterinary Forensics like DNA fingerprinting, ballistics, , Poison information centre, good animal practices in animal experimentation, police perspectives and legal perspectives, pathological perspectives, facets and accreditation of veterinary forensics laboratories. The resource persons include Dr. T.R. Baggi, Retired Director, Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory, Government of India, Dr. G.J. Samadhanam, former Advisor, Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, Dr. C. Damodharan, former Director of Forensic Sciences Department, Government of Tamil Nadu and wildlife forensic experts, Dr. A.B. Shrivasthav, former Director, School of Wild life Forensic, NDVSU, Jabalpur, and Dr. Uma, I.F.S. The valedictory function was held on 22.11.2017. Dr. K. Kumanan, Director, Centre for Animal Health Studies delivered the welcome address. Dr. Sylendra Babu, I.P.S., ADGP, Government of Tamil Nadu, delivered the valedictory address and distributed the certificate to participants. Dr. G. Sarathchandra, Professor and Head, PLAFFS proposed vote of thanks.

SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY COMMITTEE (SAC) MEETINGS HELD

KVK, Kattupakkam: The Twentieth SAC meeting was held on 06.11.2017. Dr. S. Thilagar, Vice-Chancellor, TANUVAS and Chairman of the

SAC, chaired the meeting, reviewed the work done particulars and in his suggestions emphasized the need to conduct training programmes on “Animal waste management” and take up a study on the usage of mineral blocks and mineral mixture by the livestock farmers. Dr. K. Velmurugan, Professor and Head, KVK, Kattupakkam presented the action taken report for the minutes of 19th SAC meeting and the future plan of action. The technical staff members presented the activities undertaken during the reporting period. Dr. N.K. Sudeep Kumar, Director of Extension Education, TANUVAS, Dr. Y.G. Prasad, Director, ATARI, Hyderabad, Dr. C.V. Sairam, Principal Scientist, CIBA, Chennai along with other SAC members and farmer representatives participated and offered suggestions.

KVK, Namakkal: The Eleventh SAC meeting was held on 07.11.2017. Dr. S. Thilagar, Vice-Chancellor, TANUVAS chaired the meeting, reviewed

the work done particulars and offered suggestions for future plan of work. Dr. N. Akila, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK, Namakkal welcomed the SAC members and farmers and presented the action taken report of tenth SAC meeting, work done particulars and future action plan. All the six Subject Matter Specialists presented their work done particulars. An exhibition was arranged to showcase the success of OFTs and FLDs implemented in 2016-17 and efforts of KVK in organic farming at Namakkal district. Dr. Y.G. Prasad, Director, ICAR-ATARI (Zone-X), Hyderabad, Dr. N.K. Sudeep Kumar, Director of Extension Education, TANUVAS along with other SAC members and farmer representatives participated and offered suggestions.

KVK, Kundrakudi: The Fourteenth SAC meeting was held on 27.11.2017. Dr. S. Thilagar, Vice-Chancellor, TANUVAS chaired the meeting, released the compendium of KVK activities and success stories documented CD, reviewed the activities carried out and in his suggestions emphasized to organize more programmes on management measures to mitigate drought in agriculture and allied sectors. presented the activities of KVK. The scientists of KVK, Kundrakudi presented their activities in their

respective field of specialization. Dr. N.K. Sudeep Kumar, Director of Extension Education, TANUVAS, Dr. R. Vishwanathan, CEO (Retd), TNLDA and the members of the SAC participated.

EXTERNAL COMMITTEE VALIDATION MEETING

A meeting with the external committee members for validation of the newly established Stem Cell facility at MVC was held on 23.11.2017. Dr. S. Thilagar, Vice-Chancellor, TANUVAS presided over the meeting. The committee consisted of Dr. D.T. Maurya, Director, National Institute of Virology, Pune, Dr. S.B. Tatavarthy, Joint Commissioner, Animal Husbandry, Government of Maharashtra and Dr. Sujatha Mohanty, Professor, Stem Cell facility, AIIMS, New Delhi. Dr. K. Kumanan, Dean, MVC, Thiru. A.H. Khan, M/s Klenzoids Ltd., Mumbai and faculty members of the Centre for Stem Cell Research participated.

CLINICAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

The Clinical Internship programme for 137 Students of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh was conducted from 16.10.2017 to 11.11.2017. The student group attended the clinical training on small animal and large animal clinics at MVC Teaching Hospital and Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, VC&RI, Namakkal in two batches. In the valedictory function held on 10.11.2017 at MVC, Dr. S. Balasubramanian, Director of Clinics

presided and distributed certificate of participation to the students.

GUEST LECTURE AND HANDS-ON TRAINING

The Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, VC&RI, Namakkal organized a guest lecture and hands-on training on “Zoo/wild animal diseases, health care and management” on 21.11.2017. Dr. K. Asokan, Forest Veterinary Officer, Forest Veterinary Unit, Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve, Bhavanisagar, Erode delivered the guest lecture and imparted hands-on training on handling, restraining and sexing of snakes and the use of blow pipes and tranquilization equipment. Dr. G.A. Balasubramaniam, Dean i/c, inaugurated the programme. A total of 81 UG and PG students participated and benefited.

NATIONAL TRAINING

The Centre of Advanced Faculty Training in Avian Sciences (ICAR), Department of Poultry Science, VC&RI, Namakkal organized a National level, 21–days training programme on “Prospects of diversified poultry and its impact in enhancing the rural economy” from 08.11.2017 to 28.11.2017. Besides lectures and practicals, field visits to various commercial broiler, layer, turey, duck, geese, hatcheries and processing units were arranged. In the valedictory, Dr. G. A.Balasubramaniam, Deani/c, VC&RI,Namakkal participated as chief guest, delivered valedictory address and distributed certificates to the participants.

FACULTY TRAINING ON ETHNO VETERINARY PRACTICES

The Department of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology, VC&RI, Orathanadu organized a training programme on “Propagation of traditional herbal knowledge in veterinary practices” for TANUVAS Faculties at VC&RI, Orathanadu from 22.11.2017 to 23.11.2017. Dr. K.N. Selvakumar, Dean, VC&RI, Orathanadu inaugurated the programme and released the training manual. A total of 20 Assistant Professors participated and benefitted from this programme.

TRAINING ON “ETHNOVETERINARY PRACTICES”

The Department of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology, VC&RI, Namakkal organized a training programme on “Ethnoveterinary Practices in livestock and poultry” as a part of State Innovation and Initiative Fund of State Planning Commission on “Ethno Veterinary Herbal Product Research and Development Centre” on 27.11.2017. A total of 50 field veterinarians from Namakkal and Tiruchengode block participated. Dr. M. Sakthipriya, Assistant Professor, Ethnoveterinary Herbal Research Centre

for poultry, Namakkal acted as ethno-veterinary expert. Traditional healers shared their experiences. On conclusion, Dr. G.A. Balasubramaniam, Dean i/c, VC&RI, Namakkal addressed and distributed certificates to the participants.

Similarly, a training programme on “Ethno veterinary practices in livestock and poultry” was conducted by Ethno Veterinary Herbal Research Centre for Poultry, Namakkal at KVK, Namakkal and VUTRC, Karur on 16.11.2017 and 23.11.2017 respectively. A total of 100 and 50 farmers in each programme were benefitted.

TRAINING PROGRAMMES FOR EXTENSION FUNCTIONARIES

The Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education, VC&RI, Namakkal organized training programmes on “Sheep and poultry rearing” and “Intensive system of goat rearing” sponsored by the State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Pudukottai for extension functionaries from 22.11.2017 to 24.11.2017 and 29.11.2017 to 01.12.2017 respectively. A total of 60 VASs, 30 for each programme from all over Tamil Nadu participated. Besides lectures, field trips were arranged. Dr. G.A. Balasubramaniam, Dean i/c, VC&RI, Namakkal participated as chief guest in the valedictory function and distributed certificates to the participants.

FARMERS ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

VUTRC, Tiruchirapalli organized a Farmers Orientation Programme – phase II on “A calf a year – Technological interventions in reproductive management of dairy cattle” at Konnaikudi, Lalgudi on 28.11.2017. Dr. S. Murugesan, Deputy Director, CBFD, Tiruchirapalli and Dr. P. Devadass, ADAH, Lalgudi addressed the gathering during the occasion. A total of 269 farmers participated.

NATIONAL MILK DAY CELEBRATED

Madras Veterinary College: The Department of Livestock Products Technology (Dairy Science), MVC celebrated “National Milk Day” to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Verghese Kurien, the “Father of

White Revolution” in co-ordination with the Indian Dairy Association (IDA) - South Zone and Tamil Nadu chapter with the theme “Milk and its impact on health” by conducting e-poster presentation, dairy products preparation and painting competitions at MVC on 27.11.2017 and 28.11.2017. A total of 49 teams comprising of 110 students from various Chennai city colleges participated. On conclusion, a prize distribution function was conducted on 28.11.2017. Dr. S. Thilagar, Vice-Chancellor, TANUVAS participated as the Chief Guest, distributed prizes and certificates to the student winners of the competitions and delivered the chief guest address. Dr. C.S. Sundaresan, President, Alliance for Advanced

Research and Development Initiatives and Managing Director, Green Ventures and Consulting Private Ltd., delivered a guest lecture on “Sustaining production and consumption through market mediation: Value Chain Options for Indian Dairy Industry”. Dr. K. Kumanan, Dean i/c, MVC, Dr. C. Naresh Kumar, former Professor and Head, Department of Dairy Science and the Chairman, IDA – Tamil Nadu chapter, Thiru. C. P Charles, Chairman, IDA - South Zone & Vice President of ABT industries and Thiru. S. Ramamoorthy, CEO, RGS Vet Nutraceuticals Coy, Erode participated and spoke. Earlier, Dr. B. Dhanalakshmi, Professor and Head, LPT (Dairy Science) Department, MVC and Secretary, IDA – Tamil Nadu chapter welcomed the gathering. Thiru. I.A.M. Justin, GM, Jeppiaar Milk Products Pvt. Ltd., and Vice Chairman, IDA – Tamil Nadu chapter proposed the vote of thanks.

VC&RI, Orathanadu: VC&RI Orathanadu, Thanjavur celebrated National Milk Day–2017 from 23.11.2017 to 29.11.2017. A total of 21 students from various schools of Orathanadu participated in the competitions organized during the programme. In the valedictory held on 29.11.2017, Dr. K.N. Selvakumar, Dean, VC&RI, Orathanadu distributed prizes and certificates to the winners of the various competitions and delivered presidential address.

Peripheral Centres of TANUVAS

� VUTRC Melmaruvathur celebrated “National Milk Day-2017” on 24.11.2017 at Thimmapuram village

in coordination with Government High School, Thimmapuram. A total of 110 students participated in the event.

� FTC, Kancheepuram celebrated National Milk day on 30.11.2017 at Government Panchayat Primary School, Vishar. A total of 93 school children participated in the programme.

� VUTRC, Karur organized the National Milk Day at Arasu College of Education for Women, Manmangalam on 24.11.2017 in which about 20 faculty including Principal and 60 students participated. An awareness programme was also organized by VUTRC, Karur among the students of Primary School, Panduthakaranpudur

on 24.11.2017 as part of National Milk Day celebrations. A quiz competition was conducted and prizes were distributed. A total of 25 school children participated.

� VUTRC, Dindigul also celebrated National Milk Day at Kuzhumai Federation, Tharumathupatty on 26.11.2017 in which a total of 28 dairy farmers participated.

NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK CELEBRATIONS

� The Department of Library Science, MVC Observed the National Library Week from 14.11.2017 to 20.11.2017 and conducted various programmes including essay writing and elocution competitions to the B.V.Sc & A.H., students. Dr. K. Kumanan Dean i/c, MVC distributed prizes and certificates to winners. A total of 50 students participated.

� VC&RI, Orathanadu also celebrated National Library week from 14.11.2017 to 28.11.2017. Veterinary and Animal Husbandry book exhibition was organized from 27.11.2017 to 29.11.2017 for the benefit of students and staff. Various events were conducted during the programme in which a total of 130 students participated. Dr. P. Perumal, Conservator, palm leafs and Retired librarian, Saraswathi Mahal Library, Thanjavur participated as chief Guest and delivered a guest lecture.

Dr. K. N. Selvakumar, Dean, VC&RI, Orathanadu presided over the programme and distributed certificates.

EFFECTIVE USE OF e-RESOURCES

The Department of Library Science, MVC organised an online demonstration on “Effective Use of e-resources” for the benefit of research scholars and faculty members on 17.11.2017. Dr. K. Kumanan, Dean i/c, MVC welcomed the gathering and stressed the need for using e-resources effectively. The online demonstration was done by Dr. G. Rathinasabapathy, University Librarian, TANUVAS. A total of 120 research scholars and faculty participated.

AWARENESS CUM VACCINATION PROGRAMME

� The department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education and Veterinary Microbiology, VC&RI, Orathanadu jointly organized an awareness programme on Newcastle disease oral pellet vaccine cum vaccination camp at adopted village of VC&RI, Orathanadu, Veerakurichi on 15.11.2017. The programme was inaugurated and presided over by Dr. K.N. Selvakumar, Dean, VC&RI, Orathanadu. A total of 65 farmers were benefitted from the programme and 450 backyard chicken were vaccinated.

� VC&RI, Orathanadu and CAHS, TANUVAS jointly organized Blue tongue and Pesti des Petits

Ruminants (PPR) disease awareness cum vaccination camp for sheep and goat at Samayankudikadu, near Orathanadu on 25.11.2017. Dr. K. Kumanan, DCAHS, TANUVAS participated as special guest. Dr. K.N. Selvakumar, Dean, VC&RI, Orathanadu inaugurated the camp and delivered presidential address. Dr. Y. Krishnamohan Reddy, Professor and Head, Vaccine Research Centre – Viral Vaccines participated as a technical expert. A total of 682 sheep and 507 goats were vaccinated against Blue tongue and PPR diseases, respectively.

HEALTH CAMP

CPPM Hosur conducted a health camp on “Deworming of Backyard Poultry” at Kallugondapalli village, Krishnagiri district, an adopted village of TANUVAS under “Village Adoption Scheme” on 14.11.2017. A total of 95 desi chicken were dewormed and treated for various ailments.

TREE PLANTATION PROGRAMME

� The mass tree plantation programme was conducted by VC&RI Namakkal along with District Forest Office, Namakkal on 22.11.2017. Dr. R. Kanchana, I.F.S, District Forest Officer, Namakkal, inaugurated the programme by planting tree saplings at the silvipasture unit of ILFC, VC&RI Namakkal. Dr. G.A. Balasubramaniam, Dean i/c, VC&RI Namakkal and Staff of VC&RI, Namakkal participated and planted various varieties of tree saplings.

� MSRS, Pottaneri organized a “Tree plantation programme” in the newly developed fields on 03.11.2017. Thiru. C. Meganatha Reddy, Sub-Collecter, Mettur Taluk inaugurated the programme and planted tree saplings. A total of 100 tree saplings viz., poovarasu, pungan, mahagony and

kodukapuli were planted to meet the fodder requirements of this station.

INAUGURATION OF UIIC – EXTENSION CENTRE

ILFC, Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai established University Innovation and Instrumentation Centre – Extension Centre at VUTRC Tiruchirappalli. Dr. S. Thilagar, Vice-Chancellor, TANUVAS inaugurated the unit on 27.11.2017 in the presence of

COUNSELLING FOR THE CERTIFICATE COURSE

The counselling for the “Veterinary Nursing Assistant” certificate course was conducted on 30.11.2017 at MVC, Chennai. A total of 148 candidates were called for the counselling. Out of 94 candidates appeared, 50 candidates were selected and admission slips were issued. The commencement of class for the second batch is scheduled on 11.12.2017 at Regional Research and Educational Centre, Pudukkottai.

TRAINING ON TANUVAS ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE SYSTEM

A hands-on training programme on the newly developed TANUVAS Accounting Software System was conducted at TANUVAS headquarters, MVC, VC&RI, VC&RIs, Namakkal, Orathanadu and Tirunelveli for two days on 09.11.2017 & 10.11.2017, 13.11.2017 and 14.11.2017, 15.11.2017 & 16.11.2017, 17.11.2017 and 18.11.2017 and 20.11.2017 and 21.11.2017 respectively.

AWARD

Dr. G.A. Balasubramaniam, Dean i/c, VC&RI, Namakkal received “The Fellow of Indian Association of Veterinary Pathologists (FIAVP) award” in the recently held Asian Veterinary Pathology Congress 2017 and XXXIV Annual Conference of IAVP at Veterinary College, Bangalore.

VICE-CHANCELLOR'S VISIT AND REVIEW

Dr. S. Thilagar, Vice-Chancellor, TANUVAS visited VUTRC, Nagercoil on 02.11.2017 and reviewed the on-campus, off-campus and State, ATMA, NABARD and IOB-RSETTI sponsored training programmes that were conducted during the year 2017. After review, the Vice-Chancellor suggested to conduct more FLDs and mass contact programmes.

STUDENT PARTICIPATION � The Chess players of VC&RI, Tirunelveli participated

in the Inspector Karuppusamy Memorial Chess Tournament organized by Tirunelveli District Chess Association at Tirunelveli on 11.11.2017 and 12.11.2017. Among them, S.Abinash, R.Vinoth Kumar and N.Siva Subramanian secured cash awards.

� Selven J.P. Vasanthsuriya of first B.V.Sc & AH, VC&RI, Orathanadu won first place in the 27th Tamilnadu State Cadet and Judo Junior Championship for Boys & Girls for the year 2017-18 held at Athiyaman Arts and Science College for Women, Uthangarai, Krishnagiri from 03.11.2017 to 04.11.2017. He was also selected for the National Judo Championship.

NSS ACTIVITIES � World Heritage Week is being celebrated all

over the world every year from 19.11.2017 to 25.11.2017. In this context, an “Exposure visit to Government Museum, Egmore” was arranged by NSS unit of MVC for second year B.V.Sc.&A.H

students (2016-17 batch) on 25.11.2017. Eighty five NSS volunteers participated in the programme.

� The NSS Unit of VC&RI, Namakkal organized a “Blood donation camp” along with the officials of Government Hospital, Namakkal on 15.11.2017 at VC&RI, Namakkal. Dr. G.A. Balasubramaniam, Dean i/c, VC&RI, Namakkal inaugurated the

camp. In this camp, more than 33 NSS volunteers participated and donated 33 units of blood to the blood bank of Government Hospital, Namakkal.

SUPERANNUATION

Tmt. Y. Usharani, Basic Servant, Department of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology, MVC retired on 30.11.2017. Born on 16.11.1957, she had put in a total service of 23 years and 11 months.
