Bushmaster Paratrooper Assault Rifle 5.56mm

This original Bushmaster Assault Rifle (that's the model name) is the paratrooper version with the

folding stock. This unique rifle is marked BUSHMASTER FIREARMS / PORTLAND MAINE" which

makes it one of the Gwinn Arms designs that Bushmaster made during the five years it was located

in Portland. The Gwinn Arms weapons were the unique pilot survival design; the Armpistol and the

Assault Rifle which both used the best of both worlds in the form of AR-15/M-16 fire control

components and breech block coupled with an AK-47 gas system (they were ahead of their time).

Both arms were dropped from the product line when Bushmaster moved to Windham, Maine.

The rifle retains about 95% finish with most of the thinning on the bolt carrier extension in front of the

receiver while the forearm retains 99% finish with a few small handling marks just in front of the

charging handle and the folding steel butt stock works perfectly with a small amount of its plastic

coating dinged at the very top of the hinge on the left side. The bore is excellent and the rifle is

complete with its original cardboard box, sling and instruction manual. 9-21-09A-9-66-01
