Celebrate the beautiful tradition of the Argentinian tango and its powerful impact on society, music, people, and history. Opera Grand Rapids is proud to present special guest artist, Catalina Cuervo, in her signature role of María in Ástor Piazzolla’s tango opera, María de Buenos Aires (libretto by Horacio Ferrer). Share in the fire, the passion, and a Night With The Opera!

5:30 pm Events RoomTransport yourself to República Argentina—a world of stately architecture, delicious steak and passionate tango—as you enjoy Latin inspired music in an intimate cocktail hour.

6:30 pm BallroomShare in a panoramic operatic theatre experience with excerpts from Opera Grand Rapids production of Ástor Piazzolla’s tango opera, María de Buenos Aires performed throughout the room. Immerse yourself in the story and become part of the scene. Round out the evening as you enjoy beautifully crafted, Argentinian inspired dishes in a unique dining experience.
