Friday, May 3, 13Tama Depa is the tamagotchi department store located within the Harajuku district of Japan. The store is conveniently located within miles of the location where the first tamagotchi’s were user tested. We felt that since this is the ultimate tamagotchi stop, we decided to put one of our monuments in front of the store.

Friday, May 3, 13We also decided to put a monument in front of the Toys R Us building in time square. Times square is a bustling area just like Harajuku. This Toys R Us store is the biggest one ever built.

Friday, May 3, 13The monument is located on the front facade of the store. As you can see, we have created a life size tamagotchi for people walking down the street to interact with.

Friday, May 3, 13The user can interact with the tamagotchi just like they would if it was in their pocket. This would be a community pet that everyone can share.

Friday, May 3, 13 Above the life size tamagotchi is a round lcd screen showing the tamagotchi pet that people are interacting with in times square.

Friday, May 3, 13In times square you can also interact with a life size tamagotchi that lives in front of the store. On the giant LCD screen atop of the building, you can see what is happening with the tamagotchi on the front of the Tama Depa Store.
