Talor Zamir, an experienced Las Vegas based internet marketer, explains how Google AdWords can work for local businesses. If you're a local business owner or even an attorney, it can feel like the competition from larger, national businesses or practices can be crushing. Many local businesses avoid elaborate advertising that can be expensive, or they have the false sense that the ads that appear on Google would never get clicked on. Talor Zamir, an experienced Las Vegas based Google AdWords expert, has helped dozens of attorneys and local businesses generate solid revenue using a fine-tuned AdWords campaign. “Many people will search and try to click on the organic results first,” says Talor, “That being said, about 50% of people don't even know that those are ads up there. The average person doesn't know those are ads they're clicking on.” A constant worry for many businesses is that a pay-per-click ad campaign can be expensive and yield few solid leads. Talor says this notion is almost always wrong. He says that in most cases a business doesn't actually need a large number of people clicking on the ads to generate solid leads. “In any major city, or in any city throughout the country or the world even,” says Talor, “if you get 3 percent of people that do a Google search, that's probably going to be more than enough clicks to get you a lot of new leads!” Any kind of increase in leads or prospects is obviously a boon to any business or professional. If you're a local business owner or even an attorney, it can feel like the competition from larger, national businesses or practices can be crushing. expert, has helped dozens of attorneys and local businesses generate solid revenue using a fine-tuned AdWords campaign. “Many people will search and try to click on the organic results first,” says Talor, “That being said, about 50% of people don't even know that those are ads up there. Statistically, most people are going to click on the first or second results they see from a search. Talor says he's had clients see a click-through rate for their ads of about 2 percent to as high as even 10 percent. “It all depends on how focused your keywords are and how good your ads are.” Even under the hypothetical circumstance where an ad is seeing 3 clicks out of every 100 impressions, that would be a significant increase in leads generated. Google has also recently changed the color of the box surrounding the ads. It used to be a bright yellow color and now has become a more pale color that very nearly blends into the background. “Google loves local businesses,” says Talor, “they make money when people click on those ads, so they want to drive traffic towards those ads as best they can.” Google understands that more traffic to the ad of a local business means that business is likely to succeed, and therefore reinvest their money into more advertising. Because Google favors local businesses in search results, they have made it extremely easy for a business to link their Google Plus Local page with their AdWords campaign. “What this does is it actually makes your ad appear twice the size on the page,” says Zamir, “it has your address, your phone number, people can click on a map, so that's a huge advantage that nationwide advertisers don't have.” Since Google will include a phone number in the ad itself, Talor says that he has even seen people calling his clients without clicking on the ad first. “I had a tracking number to test, and found that we were getting free leads. We were actually getting people who were doing a Google search, seeing our ad and that showed our phone number and they would call without even clicking on the ad!” A nationwide advertiser with out a locality is put at a disadvantage because of the simple fact they they probably don't have a physical location in the area where a person is searching from. “If someone in a 20 or 50 mile radius or even up to a 100 mile radius is searching for an attorney and

you're an attorney within 100 mile radius, there's a good chance that your address and phone number and all that will appear in the ad.” With the kind of advantages a well crafted AdWords campaign can bring to a local business or attorney looking to grow their opportuntunities and create more leads online, Talor says that there should be little to no worry about a return on investment. “A national advertiser isn't going to have their phone number or physical location show up in the ad, a local business will. That's a huge advantage a local attorney or business has over someone that's advertising out of state.” Just about anyone can start an AdWords campaign, but Talor strongly recommends that any business looking to effectively use the tool should seek out a respected internet marketer in their area to help them get the results they're looking for.
