Murray Bridge North OSHC Facts

The Murray Bridge North OSHC opened in November 1990 and operates from a century old home within the grounds of the North School. This building was the first public school which was built on parklands and opened in 1912. The room at the southern end was the school room while the remainder of the building was used as the teachers residence. After the school expanded the building became the

school Headmasters residence. When the sleep-out was built some of the base stones

were removed. Each stone was originally hand carved with the initials and date of the carver being found on the bottom of each stone. There was a

cellar in the bathroom in which was used to dry grapes.

There was an orchard where the Special School stands and an old Walnut tree

nearby. During the holidays the water from the pool was drained and let run

down through the orchard to water it.

In recent years OSHC has done many renovations to this grand old house.

It remains a comfortable inviting place for the North School OSHC to call home.

Bridge Walk - October Vacation Care A simple endeavor but oh so enjoyable. We saw a train

passing by on the rail bridge, ducks and geese with their

chicks and morning tea in the shelter waving to the traffic.

Library Visit -

The children loved the visit to

the Rural City Library. There

was so much to do. After

spending about 2 hours there

we visited the Market Place

Mall for a Subway lunch. The

weather was beautiful and the

children had so much fun.

Bookings are now being taken for the

December/January holidays and for the 2016

new school year.

Come in and see what we have to offer in

meeting your families childcare needs.

We offer a flexible program with a very high

quality of care by qualified staff at very low

affordable rates.

October Vacation Care— Emily made a special

little friend called Bugsy. Emily and Bugsy wrote the

staff a note that we would like to share with you.

It reads, ‘I love OSHC and everyone

in it. This is a nice OSHC

and we really love this OSHC

and everyone else, ‘ from

Emily and Bugsy.

Excursion

To the Hydrotherapy Pool It was a great day and the weather was

lovely for walking. The children had lots

of fun in the pool finishing the day with

a lovely spa. I believe everyone slept

very well.
