thantheaveragedistancetraveledbylocally

crossesmanysystemsincludingthetransportationsystem,thefoodsystem,landuse
planningandothersystems.
2‐Systemschangeisusuallytheproductofaseriesofsmallsteps.Youneedtohavea
vision,time,aplan,andcommitmenttotheplantocreatesystemschange.
3‐Policyandsystemschangecanhelpcreatefundingthatwilllastforyourcommunitythat
canbeusedforyourprogramsandservices.Themoreyouworktogetherasagroupthe
moreyouhavethesupporttomakechanges.
4‐IntheUS,African‐AmericansandLatinosaremorelikelytoliveinpolluted
neighborhoodswheretherearehigherratesofasthmaandotherenvironmentallytriggeredhealthproblems.
