The bears’ new park.The animal that features on Bern’s coat of arms has been a resident of the city since the Battle of Novara in 1513. In 2009, Bern’s bears moved to the spacious new BärenPark 2 beside the River Aare. Not

far away is the Marzili lido 3 , a lovely spot for sunbathing and swims in the river’s swift waters.
