Optimum Healthcare IT has launched Optimum CareerPathTM, forming partnerships
across the country to create career pathways between college students and the
healthcare industry. This program bridges the industry’s skill gap by providing employer-
focused technical and soft skills necessary for entry into the workplace.
Optimum CareerPath is a 2-year program that starts with a 12-week intensive boot
camp comprised of general healthcare fundamentals, IT and Project Management
fundamentals, Change Management and Readiness, Clinical Informatics, and
Professional Soft Skills development. Following these are the needed technical skills
and/or certifications to hit the ground running on a client project. Optimum provides
mentorship and support from our seasoned consultants throughout the program
ensuring continued career growth after the boot camp period.

Optimum Healthcare IT provides all employment-related needs, including costs
associated with training, on-boarding, recruiting, etc. There is no cost to you until
they are staffed on your project. We like to call this a “try before you buy” model and
guarantee quality to ensure success.
After 2 years, Optimum CareerPath graduates can be converted to full-time employees
of your health system as seasoned resources that you know and work well with. This
program removes the cost and risk associated with hiring entry-level staff that may
not be a fit for your organization/role, or those who leave soon after on-boarding and
training completes.
One of the major causes of the skills gap in healthcare IT is that healthcare organizations are unwilling to take a risk on unproven talent. Optimum CareerPath allows our clients to evaluate the performance of apprentices on projects before deciding if they wish to hire them. We expect this program to make a major contribution to closing America’s skills gap in healthcare technology.
